Probably the HD 6570. The 6670 is better but draws more power, and you have just 250W to work with. The nVidia cards do not perform as well as the 6570. In ordering, make sure you get a low-profile card that comes with a low-profile bracket. The system I'm writing this on has one of these: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814102942

3D Analyze has been known to work, even if you can't make a silk purse of that sow's ear of a 3100. Here's a user who did: https://www.facebook...181696761875146

The Witcher Enhanced Edition also works with 3D Analyze!!! Here’s the settings:
    Hardware limits:
    -emulate HW TnL caps
    -emulate Pixel shader caps

    ANTI-DETECT MODE section:
    -shaders

    MISC section;
    -force 100hz

    REMOVE SHUTTERING section:
    -performance mode

And emulate ATi Radeon 9800 Pro
    VendorID: 4098
    DeviceID: 20040

Nothing, of course. "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me"

There are no guarantees; letting an adversary go is a calculated risk, not a sure thing. It's not even like dice, where you know the odds. You have no solid assessment of the risk and have to decide which side you are willing to err on. It is your experience in the trade and your knowledge of human nature that makes you successful often enough to make those decisions worthwhile.

He who wields steel against me today, may proffer gold for me tomorrow. Geralt is a canny tradesman in a difficult trade, and he knows a live adversary who owes him one may repay the debt in time. Sparing Sile and Letho when they are no longer threats to him is not so much wimpy kindness as hardheaded good business.

That is also a possibility. Turn the Order into the elites within a larger, conscripted national army.

One thing he'd need to make sure of is to bind their loyalty to the state and not the Cult of Eternal Fire. ›››

If they are loyal to a cause, make the cause yours, and reap their loyalty. Subordinate a faction of the Eternal Fire to the state, and promote from this faction. Cromwell pulled this off rather neatly with the New Model Army, getting rid of all those inconvenient Presbyterians and incompetent nobles in the process.

"[I would] rather have a plain, russet-coated Captain, that knows what he fights for, and loves what he knows, than what you call a Gentleman and is nothing else." [Cromwell]

Maybe the man who will present himself as the bane of mages (and potentially the savior of the North from Nilfgaard), can get enough popular support to tell chaplains to suck it up. Or perhaps he can position his pawns in the Cult of Eternal Fire and make them renounce the Order. I'd imagine there is a lot of inner politics in the Cult and I'd imagine some would want to ally with Radovid.

Lots of possibilities exist and I'm sure Radovid would find a way if he realizes the long term threat that the Order poses. ›››

I'm sure he will see it soon enough. Your analogy to Philip IV the Fair is a good one; Philip saw the Templars infiltrating the government and the economy as soon as there was peace. But Radovid will do well to undermine the Order and turn the people against them, as you advise.

There's one thing worse than having armed fanatics on your own soil, and that's making martyrs of them. Philip's own ruthlessness in going beyond even a pretense of due process in suppressing the Templars made a martyr of de Molay and, if there's anything to curses, brought about his own ruin.

I think it'd be unfair not to consider you a friend at this point Guy. You contribute too much to this site even if we disagree on occasion.
