  1. A Dev Team with CDPR Standards

    Firstly, I know there is another thread that discusses Sui Generis, but that thread is focused on how the game looks. In this thread I'd like to discuss not how the game looks, but focus more on the development team behind the game.

    I've been following the Kickstarter campaign for a game being developed by Bare Mettle Entertainment, Sui Generis, and participating on their official forums (which the devs are quite active on and post regularly). What surprises me the most about this dev team is how much they remind me of CDPR! They are a small team that is focusing on creating a quality product and supporting their fans. They are going to release Sui Generis with no DRM and with free DLC after release (they say they hate micro transactions and would only charge for an actual expansion). They are creating Sui Generis to be a mature game with actual choice and consequences that change the world around you (whether those consequences be good or bad). Any of this sound familiar? :yes

    I haven't been very active on these forums lately but for those who don't know me I'm a long time Witcher fan. I've been on these forums since before the first Witcher game was released. Last time I played TW2 was at the end of last year so I decided another play-through was due! This will be my first time playing on Dark mode and also my first time playing since the game was updated with the EE patch. I'm going to post links in this thread to videos of a complete play-through, from start to finish! I'm very rusty so I'll most likely die a lot... Enjoy! Posted Image

    Yes, animations will improve with time, I'm sure. The main thing is they have the important stuff done, and in very good shape. That NPC editor looked brilliant, with the weight/fat axis. Certainly will wait with impatience for when it's out. So many good titles coming out soon! :)

    Thanks, it worked like a charm. Impressive stuff really, looks like a very interesting system they have developed. Animation still needs work (that running...), but the main cores look very good. Hopefully the story will be too, and based on what they have said I think they have something pretty special in the works.

    That's very kind of you :) Would love to see them. But I don't really have any chat programs. Used MSN before, but think it's dead now.
    Unfortunate there aren't videos AND beta at the 30 level, which is what I was thinking of donating.

    In the US people usually wear a towel in the sauna. But of course most Americans take nudity way too seriously!
    Here it's tradition to go naked in to the Sauna because you go there 2 relax then we have this thing called vihta made of birch branches that has leafs on it. Its not only relaxing the smell is fantastic :)

    I dunno i think most Europeans treat nudity as part of life really we are not shocked by Janet Jackson showing her nipple or her breast on TV i think most of us just find it hilarious.
    I thought when every one was talking about i honestly thought oh come on give it a rest already it is one woman's breast for heavens sake. Kids see way worse then that these days :(

    Only thing he got wrong was the word grape it's Rypäle that might be hard but everything else he got dead on :D

    so we do crazy stuff. It's a good thing but i'm a Finn so of course i say that :D We have wolfs we have bears we have foxes even squirrels in our forests here south-west there has been sightings of wolfs very rare thing for them to be so down in my country. They usually like the colder climate so they stick to the north.

    Well what can i say we do have our moments :D I like living in the City but i wouldn't wanna live in Helsinki not enough nature for me over there. Most ppl ask me is it true that we go sauna naked? When i say yes it is true they ask me REALLY? To us it's natural thing hey we go swimming in the lake when it is frozen so why the hell not LOL

    Some of our greatest hockey players play in USA as professionals so i think our small but proud nation has done well for it self :D
