Just to add to the Skyrim off-topic: If it wasn't for the community mods, it would be like a 7-8/10 game IMO. Bethesda has the luck to have an old, experienced community which mods all that which is broken, feels silly or not properly addressed - since Morrowind. That's what I like about TES series. I don't buy them on release,I like to wait like half a year to a year before I buy. Then it's easy to find the mods that will make the game the way I'd like it (or near to it).

This is also what I've missed from TW2 (not that it had any serious stuff lacking/broken) but the way I see it, the RED Kit toolset for W2 is like a huge beta for a full-blown toolset for TW3 which (i hope) will make the game quite immortal (with the help of the community).

    2) The same as above but he feels torn and still have feelings for Triss (Triss was not a F-buddy in W1-W2) Geralt can either a) be open with this emotional conflict (Results in Yens initial anger, but she eventually learns to grudgingly accept it as long as Triss stays away from her man) or B ) keeps it to himself (and it eats at Geralt who feels a bit suffocated by yen, and Triss who longs for Geralt, might lead to an affair with bad fallout) or C) tells Triss that he will always love her too but that he chose to be with Yen (Triss eventually learns to accept it) and D) Tells Dandilion, who does not manage to hide this from Triss (results in some drama and continuing bickering between Triss and Yen, Geralt remains conflicted and stoically stressed by the ordeal)

    3) Geralt choses Triss over Yen. Although he still loves her, he loves Triss more (see above for similar variations and complications)

Some generally good ideas however I'm guessing you haven't read the entire Saga. For those of us who did it's clear as day whom Geralt would choose and why. It's also quite clear that Yen would slaughter Triss if she felt she'd be getting in the way of her and Geralt. Their love for each other was quite the story motor in the Saga and an extremely important factor for Geralt's motivitations.

Anyway, this is a game and "adapation" of the books. I'm quite interested how CDP will handle this. In any way I have no doubt that it's going to be done right...
  3. In Topic: TW3 will NOT be the last witcher game, clarified

Great news, just as I hoped. They'll make a definitive Geralt Trilogy without overusing the character. Judging by the RED engine progress, the next Witcher game will be an open-wrold, create-your-witcher (or play as mage?) game. AWESOME :)

  5. In Topic: Locations that we will possibly see in TW3 [map]

The question which comes to mind is also how big the open world will be and what will be the scale of it. It's always difficult to place a proper amount of wilderness and un-interesting natural things in between city/quest locations in games. What I mean is that normally it takes at least a day if not weeks to travel from a city to nother city/town by foot/on horse. It's always kind of silly when in games it takes about 5-10 minutes of running to cover that distance.

I hope that whatever part they cover they'll manage to solve this in an acceptable, non-stupid way.

Oh, and as to the original question - I'm betting on south areas. Cintra, Toussaint and Nilfgard come to mind. And since the plot goes towards the "mystery" of the Wild Hunt (to those who hadn't read all the books)I'm betting on the Dol Blathanna and a chance to meet the most beautiful woman in the world...

EDIT: Ok, I just found the answer: "(...) and puts them all in an open world 30 times larger than the previous game – an enormous setting even larger than Skyrim's vast expanse, made possible with the new REDengine 3 technology (...)".
