Topics I've Started
16.11.2013 @ 03:23New consoles are out this and next week. Personally, I am not buying either one this time because there are no exclusives I am interested in. Well, except Ryse, but I am not about to shell out $500 to play a single game.
But I bet there are people who are getting either ps4 or X1 right now or soon. Could you please tell about your experience with them, your impressions, problems, interesting things, stuff like this? Thanks in advance.
06.11.2013 @ 21:33The Witcher 1 and The Witcher 2 are terrific games. A lot of people got enchanted by them, and some guys and girls actually take their time to create movies and video playhroughts. I think it will be a good idea to honor them on the official site.
For those of us who missed some of event variations and story developments, or just want to recall exact dialogues and story details, it will serve as a video encyclopedia.
THE WITCHER 1:
The Witcher 1 - Movie version (3 hours), by Medy89
The Witcher Enhanced Edition story playthrough, by Hathur - playlist
This is a story & cinematic focused playthrough of The Witcher, enhanced edition - meaning most of the gameplay and combat was edited out, focusing primarily just on the story itself. Some combat related to quests & story is included to help viewers get a feel for the setting.

12.10.2013 @ 19:05Well, I do not like to start threads, but there is something I want to ask. There are a lot of games I like, and play 2-3 times, but also there are games I am addicted to and play them compulsively. I simply can't stop, and have to re-play them again and again.
Probably for many of us TW2 is once such game. I played it so many times that I am embarrassed to say. But there are others, and often it does not really matter what scores they get, or how well they did financially.
Here is my list (in chronological order, a medical history of my addiction):
Might & Magic 6, 7, 8
Gothic 1-2 NOTR
Tomb Raider (2013)
The Last of Us
Alpha Protocol (my new-found darling time-killer)
It seems I really like games that are journeys of sorts, where a story progresses geographically as well.
So, what are your drugs of choice and why?
31.07.2013 @ 00:34I am on vacation, and while I have all the time in the world to post on this forum, I am kind of curious about something. So I want to ask a simple question: if it were at all possible, who would YOU choose to be in the world of the Witcher? No restriction on species, age, gender, race, occupation, and affiliation.
I, for one, would be a human male of about 30-35, fighting for Nilfgaard. But not in a cavalry brigade, I am more of a stealth/laying in ambush for hours and shooting to kill kind of guy. So I would want to be some sort of behind-enemy-lines fighter, the same role squirrels played in the last war. You know, patiently hiding in bushes with my best in the world cross-bow, shooting people in the head, and then swiftly disappearing. Or sneaking into enemy camps at night and sabotaging things, cutting their throats while they sleep, blowing up and burning things, all for the glory of the Great Sun and the White Flame Dancing on the Graves of his Foes. Kind of cool, actually.
30.06.2013 @ 18:43I don't normally like to start new threads, but I have some residual questions about TW2 plot.
When we visit Loredo, we can spy on his conversation with Sile. They have disagreement about something, but I still did not get about what. It is not about the Kayran, it seems, because it is in Sile's interests to kill him for ingredients. As we know from the letter Loredo wrote to Dethmold, Dethmold visited Flotsam recently. Sile is angling for becoming Henselt's adviser, and even if she knows about Loredo wanting to surrender Flotsam to Kaedwen, she wouldn't object. Why exactly does she consider him idiot (You think I am an idiot - I can't help myself...), and what does she want from him, or he from her?
