the Fixer said:Yeah, I thought so as well. There are also too many silver swords around, in my opinion. I think I'd prefer if there could be a lot of choice for steel swords but only two or three silver ones in the whole game. Crafting them instead of just finding them would be a lot more immersive and believable for me. ›››
I agree. I just don't see how such powerful items are not under heavy regulation and guard. Even in lawless parts of the real world, the most powerful weapons tend to accumulate in the most powerful hands even if those hands are the most powerful because of the weapons.

It's a much simpler explanation. The path is wrong, period.
You've installed into CookedPC\globals\items. The path should be CookedPC\items. The mods should NOT be in the globals subfolder.
(Correction: 100% loot tables goes into globals. None of the others do.) ›››
Did this and it looks like things are working now. Have not been able to test everything because of where I am in the story right now.

Wut the Melon said:A mod that starts you off at max level would probably be very easy to make by just editing the XP values you get for killing monsters/enemies. That would allow you to level up very quickly to max level. If you want me to upload a file to the nexus which does that, let me know. ›››
I'd like to see that.

Ah, I have not played my DA2 DLC yet because I have not completed a DAO->DA2 run through that I was doing to get all my "choices" line up as I prefer.
But, there is a respec mod for DAO and there are repec potions you can buy unlimited except by gold in Awakening and I had no qualms with using them profusely. It did not ruin the story for me at all and it let me play around with talent.
That is the point of a game, to play. But, not every one does it the same way.
The rules only matter when more than one person is involved. But, TW2 SP is a purely solitary experience. There is no reason ot be bound by other peoples rules.
The Arena on the other hand has at least a point system where players can share their point totals.

I'm playing the Arena, right now, on easy mode, against 5 Earth Elementals. I need a respec. Should have invested in Yrden.

sure I can. I can expect anything. doesn't mean it will happen. Incidentally, this is not a feature request thread. I was just asking if there is a way to respec geralt when someone felt like lecturing me on my preferances.
dragonbird said:*OK. Just thought of one. It was in a DLC on DA2, wasn't it? Good use of the developers' time on that one. ›››
? One of the DA2 DLCs starts you off at max level? Which one?
