It seems like the game is mostly playable if I just ignore the low FPS number showing and just play... it seems playable, with just a few slow downs outside in the large wilderness outside Flotsam... I used MSI Afterburner and found that my card only heats up to about 43-44 degrees and the fan is only at about 32-33% when I am playing. The graphics card bounces between 100% and 64% usage... I will try using the tweaks you suggested and seeing what kind of FPS I get.

I even dropped the settings from Ultra to High, and I am seeing a similar frame rate in the forest outside of Flotsam (while raining) I have no clue what is killing my FPS

Well I turned Cinematic DOF off, and it didn't seem to make any difference... Could it just be that I am loading into an area that is raining? That might be murdering my FPS, it does kind of suck to put together a new rig with high end parts and not be able to run The Witcher 2 on max even without Ubersampling. (which AFAIK just murders your FPS for only a minor increase in graphical beauty)
