    The side quest to get the otsmurk is cool though, you will get items along the way, and XP.Although I don;t really think you actually need the mongoose to beat the kayran.

    Yeah its always a good idea to do side mission first. You will learn the setting better too because you will have to go to different places, not to mention the extra items you will find.
