I hope this isn't a repost, I took a quick look on the threads but I haven't found any thread that is similar to this one.

My problem is as follows:

2 days ago, I upgraded my laptop from Windows 7 to Windows 8. Everything went well and I ran all my Steam games and they're all working fine, except the original Witcher game. When I start the game, a small window pops up: "Warning! Minimum system requirements are not met!".

I tried easy solutions like restarting my laptop but nothing worked out. I don't know why, of all my games, my laptop decided not to run The Witcher, the game that I play the most on my laptop.

I have played the game for 42 hours when I was using Windows 7 on my laptop without such problems. Now after upgrading it to Windows 8, it won't run The Witcher.

If you have any solutions to this problem, please help me!

I'm having a problem with the sephirot collecting quest, A Mysterious Tower. I got 9 of the sephirot and just found out that the one missing is the Maal'kad, which is the first sephirah that I should have gotten from the Cockatrice.

I killed the Cockatrice at the beginning of the chapter, and I'm mot sure that I searched its body to get the sephirah. I went back there and looked everywhere for its remains but I did not find anything.

How do I solve this problem? Please help! I'm already losing hope.

My friend is currently playing The Witcher 2 and is having what seems to be a glitch. The quest is Conspiracy Theory. The task says "Take the square coin to the brothel and ask for whistling windy".

He got all the 3 the coins "The Butcher of Cidaris" ,"In Cervisia Veritas", and the items around the circle at the site of Sabrina Glevissig's execution during "Lost Lambs". He tried all the options available during the conversation with Wendy, and he's not able to give her the coins.

I searched the internet for a solution. Only wiki referred to the problem by saying: "If you die you could encounter a glitch that doesn't let you save or talk to Whistling Wendy again." I don't fully understand what they meant by that, nor did it offer any solution to the problem.
