What an elaborate point there. Let's add some random "Xbox None" and "PS4 here I come" and the current state of the gaming internet is complete. The part of the internet wishing MS quick death from their Windows machines is particularly funny. ›››

Well, I don't know if he was referring to your post (in which case I disagree), but I've seen an almost equal measure of fools that screamed against Xbox One and Microsoft and fools than screamed in their defense today, both with little to no explanation or sound reason. That monkey fight picture seems rather accurate.

I agree, they might have aimed at having 2 big events but they stumbled with this. And they suck so bad at PR, marketing & communication that they didn't know how to approach the whole thing. I agree with Angry Joe that it was one of the worst product reveals I've seen. But for me it was bad already at the planning stage, execution just followed. ›››

Yup, that's a fact by now. Even their conclusion was just a "see you soon at E3" screen at the end of the last video.

Oh yes, I just watched that one. Angry Joe is one of the few really capable of making me laugh out loud, and he's usually very spot-on with his criticism.

Yes, they didn't show too many games, mostly because there's E3 in a few weeks and guess what - this way they will have 2 big Xbox events instead of 1, which means more coverage. But yeah, I guess people were expecting them to show all the important titles today, so there's nothing to show at E3, so people then can whine "ZOMG MS failed so hard at E3, they shown the same games they had the the Xbox reveal, OMG that's all they have what a fail of a company, Sony here I come putting money in my PS3's blue ray but nothing happens". ›››

Well, the way I see it, they won't have two big events instead of one now, but just a big one and a small, bland one (the latter being today's, of course). They really could have shown more rather than the usual sports games (that EVERYBODY knew were coming on Xbox One already), the usual Forza and Call of Duty games (that EVERYBODY knew were coming on Xbox One already) and ONE exclusive new IP that had, like, two seconds of gameplay.

That exclusive report linked above ended with a particular sentence. "One thing's for sure: gaming isn't about games anymore".

If you say so, Microsoft, if you say so.

Then that makes two of us. Posted Image

Honestly, I didn't like almost anything from the presentation. Not the design, not the name (every time i heard "Xbox One" my mind thought they were talking about the first Xbox for a second), not those few "same old" games shown, not that new "Quantum Break", not the technical aspects. The only things about Xbox that really captivate me now are the voice and gesture controls, because they're just cool. Not particularly useful or ground-breaking yet, but still, cool. Except for the intrinsic creepiness of being constantly observed by the Kinect that will even recognize what muscles you're contracting, that is.

Oh and the Halo series, well, can't really complain about that since it doesn't really concern game-making or the console itself. It will have an exclusive TV show on an Xbox-exclusive game series, fine, everyone will find it on YouTube a couple hours later anyway.

"No backward compatibility" is such an old news, neither xbox 360 nor ps3 had them, and look, it was fine. ›››

Actually Xbox 360 had it for a quite large range of games. But yes, it's not such a big deal, it's mostly useful if you're "switching sides" from a PS3 or PC and care about the past exclusives.

I'm pretty sure it's within the redkit's powers to edit stuff from the main story.
    I think. ›››

Well, the description of Full Combat Rebalance 2 on the homepage says that everything needed to create it is included in REDkit. And it has new animations like the walking parry and pirouettes. Furthermore, they say that a known issue of REDkit is that "currently, cooking changes to original Witcher 2 story create rather sizable files".

So... I guess you can. :)

Couldn't she just have wanted to warn Geralt that Letho is a Nilfgaardian agent? You can also see how Adalbert is pissed when she tells him. He once was your friend, then he got caught by us and now he's working for the Emperor, so be aware. I don't think she meant much more than that.
