  1. Question about REDKit

    08.05.2013 @ 15:10

So, the D-Day approaches, and some clues here and there on these forums say that RedKit is about to be released.
But I do have a question : I understand what RedKit is, a modding tool for brave guys who know how to mod a game, and have fun doing it. :question:/>

But for us common mortals, who trivially exploit the work of others, will it contain, from day one release, some user-made new quests? Like 8-10 hours of game perhaps ? :thumbsup:/> :thumbup:/>
  2. Impressions about DS 2

    11.04.2013 @ 13:56

Recently I watched this video and I've been reading in this forum all the people who praise the Dark Soul games (I actually played like, 2h of Dark Souls on PC before disinstalling it)... well...

Does anybody think, like me, that Dark Souls sucks? I mean, it's japan-style RPG crap! Damn, look at those giant swords.

Graphics are outdated even for this generation and combat is slow, crappy, boring. While playing Dark Souls I felt like my character was under the effect of 10x gravity.

I really don't understand why many people think that TW3 should be inspired by this junk. Even The Witcher 1 is A LOT better than this.
  3. On graphic engine: a comparison

    21.03.2013 @ 22:45

Hello, some of the forum users may remember a previous topic I opened on the subject of animation and it's importance in the new witcher game.

In these days I'm playing Tomb Raider reboot and I must say that I'm impressed. I never played any Tomb Raider game before, so don't think that I'm a fanboy (actually I find Lara Croft quite unpleasant) .

I'm playing this game on PC at max setting, and I think it can be considered an early taste of what we can expect from next generation consoles. I refer especially to the outstanding (and masterfully optimized) graphic engine and it's animations. Everything in the scenery is constantly moving, from tree leaves, volumetric fog, fire, wind, etc.
Nature is perfectly represented, Lara's movement is fluid and plausible - I find the camera movement while she runs a finesse that makes everything dynamic and spectacular.

I wonder if this level of programming can be achieved and hopefully exceeded by CDproject dev team.

Have you tried the game? What could TW3 learn and incorporate from it?
    Please post your opinions, thanks.
  4. TW3: Wild Hunt release date (conjectures)

    13.03.2013 @ 13:01

In another thread I read that TW3: Wlid Hunt is due at the end of 2014 (november / december?)

Damn, what a bad luck !! I wished TW3 would ship in may-june 2014(like it did TW2), before summer holydays.

What do you think about it? Is this information well-founded?
  5. Witcher 3 animations

    16.02.2013 @ 00:39

Hello, I read a lot of threads about Witcher 3 being open world and the features it should have, etc. There's also something about the combat system and about the first/third person perspective.

I would like to open a discussion about Witcher 3 main character's animation, how it should look like and what comparisons should be made with other games.
Personally I think that main character's animation is one of the most important features in a game. Skyrim's animations in third person view are ridiculous, like the ones in Dragon age 2. Witcher 2 already exceeds this games, featuring awsome animations of Geralt walking, running and fighting.

But I think Witcher 3 should further improve Geralt's animations and make them really realistic and more fluid. IMO the game that today shows the best main character animations is Assassin's Creed 3. I will really appreciate if CDproject will go in that direction for Witcher3 moves, or even improve it if they can.

What do you think about it?
