Posts I've Made

  1. In Topic: Playing other games

I've only played the original one + DLC that came with it, not American Nightmare, and I loved it too. In my opinion it is a game of which you should do only one playthrough, because subsequent ones will diminish the experience. But yeah, it is a really atmospheric game. It's like you've stumbled into a great The Twilight Zone episode. And the soundtrack is indeed very good: there is one song by PotF which I absolutely love, because 1. it just sounds great and 2. it is linked brilliantly to the plot. So buy it, yaaaaaaaaah!
  2. In Topic: Geralt of Rivia and the mysterious rider

Just took a look in the Witcher artbook and this picture is in there too. It is indeed a conceptual sketch of Kaer Morhen. That in both pictures there are two riders is very likely to be a coincidence. Still, good find dario3d.

Not for Triss, obviously. If not for curing Saskia (here Geralt could go pro bono as a nice guy), then for lifting a fog for Philippa. But he does not, he just jumps to it as Philippa's loyal lap dog. ›››

Don't forget that Geralt is also lifting that curse for his own good. He knows because of Cedric that he will regain (part of) his memory when the mist is lifted. You can even tell Saskia so when you have cured her of the poison.

I got Denmark. Which sound logical to me, because in my mind Denmark has a lot in common with the Netherlands. Not that I know a lot about Denmark though. :P

Thanks for that. I roared out laughing because of that video. :D

what about before we had knowledge and understanding of genetics? we can say that those people who had incest generated shitty offspring that died very easily, but was this figured out and avoided consciously? and why are there not more cases of mutually consensual incest with condoms/birth control?

i think it's psychological. there's something about the idea does not sit right with people. i personally do not know. ›››

I vaguely remember from Biology lessons that humans are naturally inclined not the have intercourse with siblings. Humans are attracted to smells of body odors and pheromones (which we consciously aren't aware of) that differ most from our own. And since people from the same family have the same smells of body odors and pheromones due to genetics, we aren't attracted to them. (I hope I remembered this stuff correctly.)

You probably wouldn't say this if you'd have a sister.
