Topics I've Started
09.02.2013 @ 04:23CDPR has posted this new timeline on the home page, and yet it isn't consistent with what we are told in TW2. What is says on the front page is this:
On the festival of Belleteyn witcher Geralt of Rivia, until now considered dead, appears near castle Kaer Morhen. He’s being pursued by the Wild Hunt, but the sorceress Triss Merigold saves him from the wraiths.
Yet in the Witcher 2 during a flashback Geralt mentions how he saved Letho's life on July 25th 1270. So which one is it CDPR?
EDIT: The entire W1 timeline is off, it couldn't have been six months since TW1 to TW2 since TW2 clearly states it took only 1 month.
07.02.2013 @ 01:32I know there are quite a few topics on TW3 and about imports specifically but I wanted to bring up something that I would really like to be imported in TW3 from TW2 and that wouldn't have the associated costs to it ( voice acting, writing and so on ), a small thing really that can be easily overlooked when compared to the mountain of choices in TW2 which is why I made a thread for it.
That is Geralt's Blue Stripes Tattoo which he can get if you do the Hung Over quest in Act 1, and while it was silly situation ( TO PARASIDE ON WHORE'S ASSES! ) it was still a great bonding moment which made me care quite a bit about the Blue Stripes themselves and made me sad when
It was also one of the very few things that you could customize with regards to Geralt, that silly tattoo made it feel like I was playing MY Geralt instead of the game's Geralt and it would be very nice if we could have in TW3 as an import and it wouldn't be too difficult to implement either!
So please CDPR make it happen? />
09.01.2013 @ 04:57I decided give myself a rather nice challenge in TW2, beating it as fast as I could on Dark difficulty in the EE on Roche's path. I did it in 3 hours 50 minutes, not the best time ever seeing as the person who won the Dark Mode contest was able to do it in less then three hours but still was quite satisfied by it.
Would have been better had I not used any stealth at all and had not died in some places.
This on Roche's path.
WARNING: I strongly recommend lowering the volume for the 2nd video as I accidentally recorded high with a very microphone volume.
26.10.2012 @ 05:46This is a problem I've been having ever since the game was released. Every time I've done an a reinstall for my OS my insane saves have always become unusable. This to me is quite very annoying since I only play on Insane for my cannon runs but I do not wish those runs to be lost when I finished the game legitimately!
Here is one save from my cannon Iorveth path run that I just uploaded:
And here is the EXACT same save that I gave to someone on these forums that worked perfectly fine when I uploaded it!:
I am curios if the first save would work for anyone, I am fairly certain the second one will ( though it didn't for me when I downloaded it ) and again this is a problem in the game that has existed since the bloody launch!
10.10.2012 @ 12:26Witcher 2 is again on the Golden Joystick Awards, this time it's the Xbox 360 version for the best best RPG and best gaming moment and the Enhanced Edition on the best DLC category....and they don't have it for the Ultimate Game of the Year tab while trash like Mass Effect 3 and Skyrim ( I know it's an insult to say Skyrim is anywhere near as bad as ME3, but it's still bad ) are.
So go out there and vote for the best sodding RPG and let The Witcher 2 win in those categories!
