Jason here, known about the game for awhile, but finally purchased it today. I was inspired by the recent Witcher 3 article in Game Informer. I'm a Steam user, but decided to give GOG a try, besides both games were 50% off so I couldn't pass that up. Downloading Witcher now. One question, how are the english translation of the books?

Hey guys, I know I'm late to the party but I just recently had the opportunity of playing The Witcher 2 and I fell in love with the game. I absolutely love the plot, the intrigue and the world, and even if I believe it has some flaws, to me it's still one of the best fantasy games out there.

Just wanted to thank CDProject for making such a complex and intriguing world for us to play in.

Really love the witcher games and i also like the fact that CDP will be releasing the redkit soon.
I made some small mods in the past,nothing special,played with some game engines but im most excited about this.

There are only two books translated into English. "The Last Wish", a short story collection, is the first book in the series and the translation is OK. "The Blood of Elves", a novel, is the third book and the first of the actual saga. The translation is terrible.

If you can read other languages, I would recommend you try those instead. At least for the novels. There are also fan translations freely available in different digital formats, and from what I hear they are just fine. Maybe even better than the official English translation.

To be honest - studies, studies and studies again. I had really small amount of free time, so I was just visiting polish community to read the news. I hope that now I'll have more opportunities to spend more time in here

Hi guys
I got the Witcher 2 at a LAN and i haven't had any time to play it until now....and then i get stuck.
The kayran is a bitch..and ive gone out and got some traps and shit but i don't want to fight it..
If i upload a save file will someone please do the quest.....
PS im a newbie to forums so help would be great.

Hey there! Guess I'm late to the party but The Witcher 3 is the next big RPG I look forward to and as my excitement grew I felt the need to discuss it.

I am a Bulgarian student and hardcore gamer, but Im'm interested mainly in storytelling in general (be it gaming, literature, cinema). That said it wouldn't come as a surprise that I admire the previous two witcher games and consider the second one of the games ot the generation. Both the Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 are gaming dreams come true for me and I look forward to talking about them with you guys.
