It doesn't have to be top-down iso, you can play it OTS if you prefer. (I think it's F1 to F3 for the camera options) ›››

And even if you DO want the top-down view, you can get two versions: the far-away top-down view (F1) or the closer top-down view (F2).

Do make sure that you have tutorials turned on in the Options panel! TW1's mechanics are a bit different from TW2's -- the two games were made on totally different engines -- and the tutorials are very helpful.
Want to be IN a computer game? I'm making one, and I want a picture of you! See here for details.

I've made three new adventures for TW1; you can get them at corylea.com/.

I've also made a bunch of mods that fix bugs, kill annoyances or tweak gameplay; you can get those at the Witcher Nexus.

The TW1 subforum would be an excellent place. ;)

Hello everyone, violentrl here or you can call me Rick. I've been lurking around this forum before deciding to join. I've never really been into single player RPG games prior to The Witcher series. I see many dedicated fans and I want to be part of this community :D

Welcome, Rick! I hope you'll enjoy your time here on the forum. It's great that you've discovered RPG's in general and The Witcher in particular.

If you'd like to find more great RPG's to play, you might want to check out the thread List Your Top 5 RPG's and the reasons why.

Thanks Corylea! It so happens that RPG has become my favorite genre and in these past two year, I've spent like 99% of the time playing RPGS.

I'll eventually make my top 5 list but I'll have think hard about it. However, both Witcher games are in my top 2 for sure :D

Hi Rick, I guess you'll find in this forum is that playing a single-player game The Witcher and joining this forum is as gratifying as playing online... or even more :yes/>/>

Haha I guess that is true, it definitely changed my perspectives on single player RPGS.

Thanks a lot! :cool:/>

Hi guys, I just started playing the witcher series a month ago and I am hooked. I can't wait to play W3, but I will be patient because I'd rather the game be as polished as possible before it's released. I joined this forum because I want to discuss cool things about the game and story :)/>

Also, why does my avatar keep disappearing? I upload a 90x90 image, and the file is less than 100 KB. I would appreciate help resolving this.

Busy forum, might take a while to settle down mate, anyway eyup and nice to see another witcher come to Kaer Morhen.
I was once asked by a journalist what my thoughts were on the modern world slipping into ignorance and apathy, I told him, "I don't know and I don't fucking care!"

Greetings everyone!

I don't know why I haven't taken part in this forum before, as I'm a Witcher 1 & 2 veteran and I've been occasionally lurking about anyway - but I guess the news about Witcher 3 pushed me off the ledge. So, without further ado, I'd like to welcome myself to this exciting forum! The wait for Witcher 3 will be both painful and thrilling, so I'm looking forward to sharing all those moments with like-minded people.

Oh, I guess I missed this thread...

Well, here goes.

I'm Reptile, I like playing games. Huge fan of The Witcher franchise (books and games). Played the first witcher game back in 2008 when the EE was released and loved it. Then I got TW2 as soon as it came out - had a great time with it too.

And that's about it.
