Not exactly.
A different combination of Aard and Igni open all the Stones.
I mean
Igni Igni aard
aard igni aard
aard aard igni
igni aard igni
etc.....

But in this case, Clawed asked for the one in the Striga's crypt, so yes, exactly "Aard, Aard, Igni "
Some say that Pirates steal, and should be feared and hated.
I say we're victims of bad press, it's all exaggerated.
We'd never stab you in the back, we never lie or cheat.
We're just about the nicest guys you'd ever wan

Really?
Does'nt the combination change its order depending on how you use it for the first time?
I mean:
If you use on the first Stone (not the one in the Striga Crypt) a sequence of aard and igni, the other combinations change related to the first.
Whatever.......

Hmm ... not in my version.
What version do you use?
Qdude said that in the Russian version the combinations for entering and leaving a crypt are different.
Yet in my version they are always the same.
Perhaps this is another example of differences between localized versions.
That is also why I now put my version in my signature.
It identifies the source of my observations.

Hm....interesting..
anyway i use the italian version. But maybe i could be wrong about it. I only know that your combination in aard aard igni opens only the stone in the striga crypt.
cheers

Where exactly are all 3 stones? I found one in strigas crypt and the one in the raven's crypt but the third one...
In the old mine. That's the one you need for Raven's Armour of the Elves.

Okay, I'll try ;)
Probably too late for a warning, but still: Spoiler Alert
There are three versions of Raven's Armour. Which one you get depends on the path you chose: Order, Scoia'tael or Neutral. For each version you need the fragments of Raven's original armour, the notes of an elven minstrel, and one other component. That component varies according to your choice. For Raven's Armour of the Elves, it's a gnomish tool that can be found behind the Wayfarer's Stone in the mines. I haven't played the two other paths myself, but as far as I know the component for the Order version is a holy text of some sort that can be found behind the stone in the striga's crypt. I have no clue what's required for the neutral version, but you get the idea... Depending on the path you have chosen, you will get the appropriate combination of spells you must cast on the stones from varying NPCs. For the elven version, it's the dwarven blacksmith in Old Vizima, for the Order version it's the Order's armorer and for the neutral version it's Kalkstein.

Are you sure you are using the right combination on the right wayfarer stone?

There are three stones, in three different places. The combination of signs will vary, depending on whether you're neutral, Scoia'tael, or Order.

Wayfarer stones...
Actually you can enter them all, kill the monsters, harvest the exp, explore the crpyt and take the items including the raven's armor parts irrespective of the path you chose. The needless parts stay in your quest inventory.

I can see what you see not, Visions milky then eyes rot.
When you turn they will be gone, whispering their hidden song.
Then you see what cannot be, shadows move where light should be.
Out of darkness, out of mind – cast down into the Halls of the Blind…

If I'm nuetral (altho I shouldn't be, since I've been helping the nons!) do I use ONLY WITCHER path symbols
, or something else entirely? I need that recirculator and the armor piece, and I'm prepared to drop ALL my chicken and mutten to get it! (Got way too much stuff, as usual.) The designers should take a clue from DIABLO LOD, where they have a HORADRIC CUBE that greatly expands one's storage space and it's right there with you.

You can keep your chicken.
The stuff you need will go into your quest inventory.
