Vizima confidental has claimed another. I've wrestled with the Editor and looked through this thread and managed to get here:

java.io.IOException localized strings database________.tlk does not exist

Ah, geeze. I thought anyone who frequented the forum knew to follow the little boy as soon as he comes for you.

If Tommy or Licaon don't manage to help you get it working, send me a PM with a link to your saved game (zip it, please, and upload it somewhere where I don't have to register in order to download it, like MediaFire), and I'll stick the new version of the quest file into your game for you.

I'm not offering to do it right away, because a working Saved Game Editor is good to have around, and you may want it for more than just fixing the Vizima Confidential problem. ;)
Want to be IN a computer game? I'm making one, and I want a picture of you! See here for details.

I've made three new adventures for TW1; you can get them at corylea.com/.

I've also made a bunch of mods that fix bugs, kill annoyances or tweak gameplay; you can get those at the Witcher Nexus.

Where did you put the TWEditor in your game installation ? Can you also copy and paste the shortcut target line ?

Indeed, but I didn't remember seeing the little boy. Must have done something sooner than i was supposed to or just flat out missed him. Still trying to get ti to work/running around on Geralt I just forgot something.

Thanks for the offer Posted Image

Try placing the TWEditor in your Witcher\Data folder
The start line should read after doing that
Start: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Witcher Enhanced Edition\Data"

It gives me error saying it could not determine game installed language. I installed the game on Steam as English, then switched to Polish. Is it possible to make this mod work?

The override folder you created . Did you create it in the Witcher/Data folder ? What is it that you are trying to do in order to advance the game ?

What i manage to do with the editor is to change gold and skill points, the quest however dosnt change even though i used the file you posted. I Repack the file then i save it, when i start playing TW the gold n skills are changed but the quest hasnt.

Its the Vizima Confidencial quest that im stuck on that im trying to fix.

Nevermind i figured out the problem, i had made an override file, that was ofc empty, then i remembered that there was an override file in the VizimaConfidentialFix file u posted, so deleted the one i made and copied the one u made over.
Now its working it was just me being stupid for a moment.

Thanks anyway

The save game editor doesn`t allow changes to be made on any quests . For that you would need to use the Djinni editor . Have you tried looking in the subforums for ways that you might be able to fix your stuck problem .

Ok so I have just started Playing the Witcher and have run across the Vizima Confidential bug. I have attempted to follow the instructions on this board but I must admit I have never dealt with Java and am not very savy at these types of issues. Can anyone assist with some step by step instructions on how to get the editor to run?

My game file is located at:

D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Witcher Enhanced Edition

Im not sure which file to copy/paste where and what to put into what target line....help lol
