I did the autopsy and found to be alchemical poison, talked to gravedigger he wants me to pay off his debt with thaler to get the key, when i talk to thaler he says i have to prove his innocence but i already did that with the autopsy, i talked with captain of the guard he tells me no because i accused him.

So basically im sol so much for non-linear lol.

There is no option to pay off the gravediggers debt with thaler either i tried them all.

Talk to Shani at her place. She's planning a party. Buy some red roses before the party and give her afterwards. She'll tell you something about Thaler. Now you should be able to clear gravediggers debt and enter cemetary. Don't talk to Raymond again before you've done all this.

Take a nap and everything is fine the next morning  ;D You are at loggerheads with Vincent as well? There is one quest which proves his innocent. But you get the mission from him... visit the depot at midnight in the slums. But when he doesn't talk to you either you can't get his sympahty and eventually access to the cemetery.
I can see what you see not, Visions milky then eyes rot.
When you turn they will be gone, whispering their hidden song.
Then you see what cannot be, shadows move where light should be.
Out of darkness, out of mind – cast down into the Halls of the Blind…

Dammit I'm probably going to have to go back to an old save. And I mean a really old save... I reckon I've done everything in the wrong order - I've found out who's guilty before the autopsy, and now I don't know whether I can complete it or not... So basically I've found out who's innocent and who isn't without doing any investigation, I just stumbled across the major giveaway that told me who it was... Damn...  >:(

I have a problem with trying to DO the autopsy since Shani doesn't show up at midnight at the hospital.
And I did the Party FIRST...WHAT THE.

First time I did this I did the autopsy first then the party but if you do the party first it's hard to do the autopsy...like it's bugged or something.

I think the main thing is Talk to Raymond about who to investigate so investigate Kalkstein, then Ramsmeat...since I already found Thaler and Vincent innocent which allows me to do into the hospital.

After talking to ramsmeat and found him innocent ..."Raymond sends a message boy to come see him"
Raymond will say the prisoner was transfered and found dead and an autopsy must be made and talk to Shani for and autopsy.

What I did next Talk to Shani FIRST..which she tells me to talk to the gravedigger.
Talk to the gravedigger and talk about the prisoner and give him dwarf alcohol and then he'll say where to put the body.
You say the hospital.

But Yes you do need to either clear the gravediggers depts from Thaler or ask Vincent for a pass into the cemetary...but I think that's only to gets you into the cemetery.
As long as the body is transfered to the hospital.

What to do next is a bit confusing is that FOR ME SHANI IS MISSING and is not in the hospital or in her house.
I think you need to get into the crypt in the cemetery at this stage.
Then after the crypt search go back to shani or at least get to the hospital a midnight to do the autopsy....but DON'T LEAVE IT TOO LATE or A DAY LATE since it's kinda bugged that if you miss going to the hospital you can't get Shani to appear for the autopsy the next day which is the confusing part.

If you fail to do the autopsy and then talk to Raymond, you will just give false report on the autopsy.

I have failed the autopsy TWICE so far and have to go back to a previous save in order to do it correctly....I KNOW its frustraiting.
But after I install patch 1.3 I failed it the second time....while the first time I fail when playing act 2 for the first time.

I think I know the order you can do it in...as long as you keep Track of the missions on the journal and map to tell you where to go next...you can't fail then.

But finding some people innocent and some guilty really does throw you off a bit.
I think if you "Talk about salamandra" to all suspects you can say "I believe you"

It is not enough to just talk to each suspect in order to find them innocent. For each one you also need to find some corroborating evidence that they are innocent. Like with Leuvarden; when you discover that he is the one paying for Salamandra badges, that makes it obvious he isn't one of them. Or when you discover that Thaler is really the secret police. Once you have made such a discovery it is time to tell the person that you know he is innocent.

also, depending on the autopsy results, you never actually have to go to the crypt and vice versa .. if you go to the crypt, you don't have to do the autopsy

i like to do both because i have a pathological need for completion, but that's my issue  :). it is not necessary to do both quests
check out SpaceMonkey and read the Witcher wiki,  darnit! ET je suis capable de m'exprimer en français pour nos francophones!

Don't forget, you also get more Experience Points by doing both.
