Hi

I've tried looking through the forums, and while I think I found people with issues similiar to my own, I'm afraid I wasn't 100% sure and, more importantly, did not understand he steps they took to fix the issue.  Therefore, I am posting here in the hopes that someone might be able to help me.

I am running The Witcher, v1.20, and can view the opening cinematic just fine.  I can also access the menu, select options, and launch a new game fine.  No problem with the first cinematic but the moment the game begins, it procedes to freeze; sound and graphics begin to loop and I have no control over the program. 

I am using a dual core 2 ghz Gateway PC with Vista.  2046mb of Ram and a NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GS card.  Any help would be appreciated as it very frustrating not being able to play a new game at all.

since you have Vista maybe you shuld take a peek at the dedicated Vista-troubles thread,
look around there for advices (what updates/drivers/ect)
