Hi, I know I can just either apologize to Coleman or give him 100 orens to complete the quest, but is it ever actually possible to find the package confiscated by the guards? Or does this quest always end in disappointment?

No you can't get the package back. It seems that the package may have contained fisstech and the guards (especially Jethro) have a liking for it.

Just apologize to Coleman and he forgives you.

DId it end up in your quest items?  I doubt it's the same package, as Jethro had the other one, and Coleman works for Ramsmeat to begin with.

Regardless, it is not possible to get Coleman's package back. Not that I am aware of, anyway.  Jethro confiscated it, knowing what was in it. As he is a fisstech addict, it's completely reasonable that you'd never see it again.

im following an interesting twist on mine that i havent heard of anyone else ever doing.
i didnt tell coleman about the missing parcel, instead i just said "forget about it"
and that opened up another phase that said i better be careful coz the thugs are gonna be looking for me...
so i killed several thugs and a new phase appeared which said, " i should tell coleman hes messing with the wrong man"

however i already reported coleman as being a snitch so ramsmeat put money on his head and he dissapeared but the entry still exists in my journal "tell cooleman hes messing with the wrong man"

is there a way to remove this or complete the quest, id hate to have it stuck in my journal as incomplete.

Has anyone ever been able to complete this quest, why give the player a quest that can't be completed?

Was there some way to complete this quest in chapter I.

Can you put give quest items to an innkeeper? because if you could it wouldn't have been confiscated.

Completing the quest is as simple as saying to Coleman "Guards too it man, tough luck" quest ends, coleman says dont deliver anything to me again and you egt exp.

If you ratted him out any running quests related to him are now in-completable.  He's going to get iced and that's that.

Whoa.. the story changes a lot with different choices.. when I got to Vizima, Coleman was dead.
I won't tell what happened though, I think might be a big spoiler... although, now that I know he can stay alive is already a spoiler for me.

When talking about quests like that, could you write "Spoiler" first? Or maybe this thread already considers spoilers and I missed.. anyway...

Try not agreeiong to take the package for Haren like me.

When you talk to Jethro he has the same dialogue about the stuff he cnfiscated being good so Haren must have got someone else to take the package instead of me as Haren is now dead and didn;t deliver it himself.

no it's a quest item and goes staight into your quest inventory. You can deposit these items in innkeepers storage.

I gave Jethro a package of fisstech. He seemed happy, but didn't say much, nor did that open up a new dialog thread.

Jethro is always happy if you provide him with his fave drug  ;D But in the case of Coleman's package it changes nothing. You have to bribe him with Fisstech for the 'Crown Witness' quest ('Vizima Confidential').

I've passed that point now. I'm in the Swamp. Already defeated the Sentry Golem, and only have one sephiroth left...but of course that belongs in another thread, yes?
