Well alright, once you're done could you upload and put it on unlisted so I can give you an opinion on the editing? Maybe fine tune it a bit more before you finish it for everyone.

What software are you using to make your movie?
Want to be IN a computer game? I'm making one, and I want a picture of you! See here for details.

I've made three new adventures for TW1; you can get them at corylea.com/.

I've also made a bunch of mods that fix bugs, kill annoyances or tweak gameplay; you can get those at the Witcher Nexus.

If I were to hazard a guess I'd say he's using Vegas.

Yea vegas.

And I was about to suggest that actually, so I'll send you the link when it's ready. But it's going to take a while though.

Actually, that is exactly what caused quite a sensation in Italy recently. Too bad that people die because of these things.

Okay now I know for sure that they're lying: my man is saying that he noticed tiny shakes in the past few days before this stronger one. I noticed nothing, but that becasue I live in an old peasant strong house. In fact I couldn't hear those two we had in Italy recentely.

A couple of nights ago we had a 5.3 "earthquake" and I couldn't even tell. Last year we had a 7.6, and now THAT was crazy. I was holding a bookcase in my office/computer room just in case. I guess you get used to the earth moving after a while.

PC does not equal Windows. Personal computers run many different operating systems, like GNU/Linux and, why not, Windows. PC games should be available for all major platforms. Let's not be handcuffed and tied to one vendor. Utilize standard, cross-platform technologies!

The verdict of that particular trial is something I agree with completely. I live in a country with seismic activity, the last thing that people need is someone to go on TV and say they are not in danger ( which is EXACTLY what happened in that case ) when any scientist worth his salt will say that risks always exists, and that's what they tell us on the news.

The scientists are not quite so much lying as they are not willing to admit that they just do not know. But to offer false reassurance just because you do not know, as happened at L'Aquila, rises to criminal stupidity.

Sometimes you get foreshocks, but what you think might be foreshocks often mean nothing, and often earthquakes happen without any seismic warning. There have been so many complete failures at earthquake prediction from seismography that scientists are looking for other signs of unusual activity like piezoelectricity: http://news.national...iction-efforts/

What really bothers me are the music threads. In the future, everyone apparently only likes cold, synthy, reverb-y music that runs the gamut from Blade Runner-esque to "leaving a vibrator on a drying machine." I can appreciate that kind of stuff, but it's just so predictable and safe as far as cyberpunk music goes. Drives me crazy. ›››

Added a little variety to the soundtrack today ;)

And I also wonder about the music. Nobody makes wooden or metal instruments anymore? Did all symphonic orchestras and their instruments die in a cataclysm? How come there is a rockstar-esque role in CP2020 but I haven't heard any rock songs? Is there no sunlight in the future? ›››

In 2077 there is no sunlight. No guitars. Only dubstep. ;)/>

Oh and gregski, didn't realize you were a mod at the cyberpunk forums. Cool! Maybe we should start a Linux gaming thread there? ]:-> ›››

haha, yeah, that would make the forum lighten up for sure! :)

Earthquakes - Hugs, SC, that must have been scary. I hope everything is OK near the epicentre.

Video-editing - Vegas roolz :)

Soundtrack - I'm hoping that the teaser is an indicator of what we'll get, even though it may be a false hope. DX:HR managed to give us a good soundtrack though. Which reminds me - time to play Icarus again.

Seems to me there were 16 prior to the CP teaser. Maybe I'm missing something.

It's been theurapethic staying away from moderation and the forum in general. Sometimes our work is a bit overstressing and you have the feeling that troll sickness starts to contaminate your blood too. Now I'm totally relaxed and I'm appreciating this place even more :)

Yeah, I know how it can be. I had to take some time off these forums not too long ago. I feel sorry for you moderators, but appreciate what you do for us. :yes

It's really nice to have you posting around these forums again. I was missing you. :(

PS: Glad the earthquake didn't affect you beyond giving you a little scare. ^_^

Glad you had a good time! Attending a concert by a band you really enjoy can provide an entirely legal, completely healthy (though rather expensive) high. ;)

I remember going to a Melissa Etheridge concert in 1999 or maybe 2000, and everybody in the stadium except me was singing along. The friend I went to the concert with leaned over and said, "Hey, it's okay to sing along," and I said, "Singing along lets the energy OUT; if I don't sing, I keep the energy In and just keep surfing higher and higher on the energy." He looked at me strangely and said, "Whatever works for you." :smoke:

Quick question: is it worth installing one of those improved textures mods on the first Witcher? I still think the game is fine but after playing TW2 so much the textures do look pixelated. I don't really care much, but was wondering if there is a drastic change and if it is even worth the effort.

My shot recommendation of the night: starry night! One part Jaegermeister, one part Goldschlager. Drink cold! Starry nights for everyone!
