I don't want it to be true!
You cannot run from the truth forever DT. It'll catch up to you eventually. Stop running and accept the truth.
GM=Alvin (or his equivalent from an evil parallel universe)
Look a t the evidence (arranged from weakest to strongest)
1. GM does have some resemblance to Alvin facially
2. Sources, especially with the Lara gene are INCREDIBLY rare. Yet both have the same gene.
3. Both have similar dimeritium necklaces
4. GM conjures an image of Alvin as a last ditch effort to keep you away from the center of his mind
5. GM parrots whatever Geralt taught him:
Eg:Geralt to Alvin: Your gift was to be kept hidden, because the life of the gifted was rarely easy
GM to Geralt: You thought power was a curse. You were too weak.
Geralt to Alvin: It is a gift. It is upto you to use it for the greater good
GM to Geralt: You believe gifts need to be used for the greater good. And here I am, doing exactly that. "Hundreds must perist for thousands more to live"
These are not the exact words. But more or less what he tells Geralt.
6. In the swamp, he talks about a debt the owed to Geralt, one he was free of after saving his life.
7. He quotes other things which Geralt told him and concludes "only time can be a good teacher" or something like that.
If you want, try the Order path once in another playthrough. Then the GM's dialogs will leave no doubt that he's Alvin. If I remeber correctly, he might even quote you saying something like "the time of the elves is bygone. They are too proud to accept the world as it is now and change as it does"...or something. In the Order path, this is what you tell Alvin in Murky Waters village just before the Order attacks.
Face it. GM IS Alvin. DO not fight the notion. Embrace it. :)
Once you realize GM IS, in fact, Alvin. it adds a great twist to the whole plot. You'll start finding schemes within schemes, something we've already discussed elsewhere.
Eg: If Azar was working for the GM, why did he try to kidnap Alvin in particular(sending the professor to Triss/Shani to capture the kid)? GM himself wouldn't have told him this great secret. Maybe Azar sensed the Source powers of Alvin and wanted to use him for himself. Maybe he guessed the truth(after all he was a powerful mage) and wanted leverage on his master. Was the GM aware of his ambitions? Was the GM himself trying to get hold of Alvin? Maybe change things in his own past? Why, otherwise, did the Order knights appear under their most renowned merc (Rayla) in a remote village to capture a dying elf unit, while Vizima itself was in ruins? If he was Alvin himself, he probably sent that unit there to capture Alvin. Did he foresee a threat, or an oppurtunity in Alvin?
Believe me, GM=Alvin opens up a whole world or conspiracy theories and speculation. Don't deny yourself the pleasure any longer. ;)
