Crysis sucks in my opinion. Yes it is kinda pretty. Yes it runs perfectly on my machine with all the settings on highest.

Still... it's just as boring as Far Cry.

If you did like Far Cry, then no doubt this game is for you. If you didn't ... just pass it by. It is not THAT beautiful to play it for the graphics alone. For example Call of Duty 4, has graphics that are just as good in most comparisons. Some of the more unusual dodads may not be there but overall it conveys a better look and feel than Crysis.

As far as The Witcher goes, I would venture out as far as to say that it is easily as impressive graphically, in addition to being a better game overall.

Crysis has got brilliant graphics but i think it is same as Far Cry and there is so boring ... maybe just it because i love RpG i dont know .. But also Crysis is sure quality game for good relaxing after TW  :)) By Crysis dont have to much  thinking about solution as by TW you have to  :)

2 of this years big time dissapointments for me is crysis and hellgate london.
This years best game in my opinion is The witcher
I liked far cry much much better than crysis

Sorry for quoting myself, but I just wanted to demonstrate how much one can be mislead by previews and trailer videos. Blacksite is even worse than Crysis, storywise and in all other respects. In the field of shooters, COD4 is definitely the best. And the best RPG this year was definitely The Witcher.

Anyway Cryis is fun much better than Bioshock which is still unfinished IMO, but after a bit Cryisis gets boring still had more fun on Dark messiah can't beat a fun 15$ game :P

Not found of COD4 it has odd restricted gameplay hate the story/setting ...then again have alway hated modern war and WW FPSs

Yeah I find that sort of deal quite odd. It's probably merely because one was released shortly after the other and they want to beat their sales into the ground.

In any case, Crysis felt like a cross between Far Cry and Predator (AvP2). In other words, been there done that. Graphics are the only true highlight of the game.

Cryisis is mmmm least on the scale of new FPSs since 03 or 04

1-2.FEAR / Far cry
Both have issues with repetitivity but both manage to offer advanced AI and soemthign over the norm of simplistic kiddie console shoot im ups.


3.Dark messiah(as much as I enjoyed the game it has its limits)
4.Half life 2:OB (steam is pure BS, and I feel HL2 is nerfed from HL1...)
5.Cryisis
6.Deus Ex 2 (sad limited console port)
7.Quake 4 (sad limited version of Q2 IE console ported)
8.Alpha Prime (what? :P its a nice game a bit dated but better than Sin eps and other newer failed FPSs)
9.Bioshock (see DX2 and Q4.....another nuked console port)
10.DOOM 3 (yes I hate a FPS more than BS :P)

Not a modern war/WWX FPS fan.

Crisis is neat but "less filling" one could call it a "lite beer" its not as polished as other games of its "class" try to be but looking at innovation alone its in the top 3 but HKL2:OB just offers more stuff and as a whole is better than crysis, speaking of which DM has the most raw innovation I have seen in a FPS since the mid/late 90s prehaps Halo 1 had enough innovation for tis time to count but the seaquls have drained it of quality IMO.

Crysis is an overrated game in my opinion. A bit too much propaganda for a game which has only improved graphics, but has alot of bugs.
Crytek have made a big fault to move to EA for distributing the game. They could better stay with ubisoft. I guess it has something to do with the money.

I find the action of that store which is mentioned in the first post strange. The Witcher and Crysis are totally different from each other. One is a rpg, the other is a fps.
People who take part of this action didn't understand what the witcher was or are plain stupid. How can you first buy a rpg and then trade it for a shooter.
I don't get that.

Bioshock is highly over rated, Cryisis is only partially over rated, if anything what drags crysis down is the repetativity .

UT3 aint half bad either altho i still think 1 had the best story/setting out of all the Unreal titles....

I feel the same about the witcher with the gameplay and menu system as it comes off 70% eye candy... Crysis  is alil less so,in trems of gameplay it has more polish which makes the game fun to play but the witcher has a better story but god awful  controls...
