Pitty that Geralt will never look like this anymore

That's because the overall visual appearance has to be at its best when fully armored. Art Design demands it. If the proportions were completely accurate, he (as anybody in real world) would look really thickset and bulky in armor. So, to make him look as desired in full armor, his body had to be sized down a notch, I guess.
TW1 didn't have that problem, because Geralt wore a lot less armor.
Anyways, I slightly prefer TW2's Geralt. That something very wolf-ish about his face suits the title of the White Wolf. His brawnier overall appearance makes him more intimidating, a force of nature, a man perfectly balanced on the thin line between agility and raw strength. In short: A wolf in a man's body.
Thinner TW1 Geralt was, in comparison, more like a cat of prey. Very agile, and ferocious at times, but lacking strength.

hope they put them in their proper holsters not the "let's magnetically strap it on to his leg" solution.
The dagger could be at Geralts back and he could carve monsters with it like in the game Monster Hunter for the PSP/DS, no more menu popping and you just taking the parts. The axe could be at his belt like in Skyrim.
Maybe Geralt could stap a lantern on his belt too they already did with the dwarves at Ch2.
also it's funny how we just notice/complain about this a long time after W2 lol.

depends on whether it will be a beard of sorrow or a beard of awesome

then I'm happy.
Although I have to say I kinda prefer the "sharper" features in Geralt's face from TW1, felt like they gave him more character. His chin and nose seemed a bit too rounded and uninteresting in TW2.

Your opinion saying you've not no opinion is in fact an opinion... />
About Geralt's looks, considering that my own image shifts more often than I would like (there's no photograph in which I did not discover a trait different in my face or figure) I can not have a single image of Geralt. The people, as time goes by, get fat, thin, broken nose, eyebrows burns, someones inflict on him more scars, etc, etc, especially if it is a Witcher. I mean... Geralt is not a madelman... isn't he? Little changes on his look doesn't worry me at all.
