This time, get a decent one. Not CoolerMaster. That is a low-end power supply from a company notorious for slapping their label on just any cheap power supply.

I don't know what's available locally, but the Seasonic-made Antec and Corsair power supplies are usually the best that are available at a reasonable price. Also, Corsair "CX" (made by Channel Well) and Antec "Earthwatts" (made by Delta) are decent.

Guy, I'm curious: How do you know which Antec or Corsair PSU's are made by Seasonic? Can you find that at stores like, say, Newegg or Amazon?
Facio, Voco, Ferre.

PC does not equal Windows. Personal computers run many different operating systems, like GNU/Linux and, why not, Windows. PC games should be available for all major platforms. Let's not be handcuffed and tied to one vendor. Utilize standard, cross-platform technologies!

It's complicated (especially with Antec, which has many models and changes OEMs from time to time). Retailers won't tell you. You have to look to respected power supply reviewers; jonnyguru is the best. There's a well-maintained list here:

I'd go with this:

If you want to invest more there's a Platinium Antec that comes with a good price:

Corsair "VS" are not the best Corsairs, but they are still very good. I agree with your choice.

VS is a special model for 200-240V markets in Asia. Your order is right; Channel Well appears to have cut more corners in the VS than in the CX.

There's a big jump between (VX, VS, CX) and GS.

There's also an HX series between TX and AX. HX is close to AX in quality.

Which Antec? Avoid Antec "Basiq". Other Antec and Corsair power supplies are good, so just get the best deal you can.

If you can get a TX at a good enough price, they are excellent. Seasonic S12II and Antec HCG are pretty much the same thing.

I've used mostly Antec Earthwatts and Corsair CX for work computers recently. But my big rig has a Seasonic S12II.

Also compare the price of Corsair CX, GS, and TX if all three are offered. The GS is in some ways the best of the three for a home gaming computer, since it has the best fan setup.
