I didn´t played the game for several month. Yesterday I started the launcher, installed patches 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3. When I click play in the launcher, the screen goes black, and then goes back to desktop. No crash error or anything either.
So I deinstalled the game and installed it again. For this I didn´t used the DVD´s, I used the downloaded backup from gog.com. Then I abortet the installation of patch 3.1 and clicked play but again it crashes without any errors. It´s the same after the installation of all patches.
Anyone know how to fix this?

My system: Windows 7 x64, GTX 670, 16 GB RAM, ASUS P8P67, Core i5 2500

Sorry for an obvious question, but are your drivers up-to-date?

I just updated mine own game, and I don't have any problems. Are you allowing TW2 through your firewalls?

If that's not the case either, sorry friend, I am not equipped to help you. But wait, and someone who is will come around :)

Did you update your game in the right way ?
I mean installing from steam and then updating through steam or installing with the backup DVD and then updating via launcher or directly download the update file from here.

It´s not from Steam. I installed it via the GOG-Backup and updatet it via launcher.

Are you overclocking your video card ? This would include factory overclocked models as well .
Can you post a screenshot of the configurator settings .

I am overclocking with this card too, but I have a different mobo- ASUS P8Z77.

Also OP, if you're overclocking you might want to pay attention to your power supply. I hope you have at least 700 W.

Thanks folks, my problem is solved. My Windows 7 was damaged. It was a real puzzle because the only programs with problems were the games Witcher 2, Battlefield 3 and Crysis 3. Several other games (like Diablo 3, Bioshock Infinite, Shogun 2) and every other software made no problems. Every problem is solved since I made a new installation of windows.
