I was rather surprised no one mentioning this here since it's one of those gem story focused games and many here like me are of the story oriented kin. (Or I just simply missed it here?)

In any case who are getting it/already got it? I can't wait to play it, had pre-ordered months ago and finally after a long wait it's here! But me and my dam crap internet, about half way done downloading it won't be able to play till tomorrow now :/
And thanks to steam's ridiculous ways I can't play another game without pausing the download :wallbash:

So what do you say?

I managed to unpack it and ran some benchmarks this morning before leaving for school, ran surprising well on my 2 year old laptop, and god it's gorgeous, can't wait to get home and dive in the story!!

I pre ordered the premium edition from Amazon, should be here any day now. Can't wait, I've been hearing a lot of good stuff about it. I actually tried the original BioShock a couple of years ago and absolutely hated the fucking experience. The fact that it took so long to kill one, single, damn Big Daddy drove me nuts. I uninstalled the game and haven't been interested in the series since.

When they announced Infinite I was apprehensive but excited. The aesthetics and the Nico Vega "Beast" song from the trailer won me over. I thought, fuck it. I'll give it a chance.

On preordering, they send you copies of BioShock. I thought "wow, if that isn't a sign I don't know what is." The cosmos was literally saying "give it another chance. You might like it this time around." So I fired that baby up and played the whole game, from start to finish. And I absolutely loved it. One has to really adapt to the playstyle they're trying to evoke. It's not the run 'n' gun shooting gallery like a CoD game nor is it a tactical shooter with emphasis on precision and speed like CS. Once you've adjusted yourself, the game was really a blast. The atmosphere, plot, voice acting, aesthetics, level design and creative moments were just insane. Really well made and well designed game. Some missteps here and there but overall, solid experience.

So I've been really excited for Infinite, now that I've given BioShock a new chance. So far, it seems like it's gonna rock :)
Tearing my hair out, trying to figure out why there aren't any non-human Witchers, or at least something equivalent to a Witcher oriented warrior.

Steam.
I was once asked by a journalist what my thoughts were on the modern world slipping into ignorance and apathy, I told him, "I don't know and I don't fucking care!"

Activated during night time and it was stunning. I like that heavenly feeling when I enter city, looks gorgeous and divine.

Oh and anyone else is interested in trying those devilishly looking potions. I would certainly like to taste one to see the effects.

Been playing 5 hours and so far it's really really good, Tomb Raider was my favourite yet this year but Infinite tops it, if you haven't played it certainly do so.

Just came home from my visit to Gamestop to get my pre-ordered copy of the game. Very excited to play this game! Hopefully I won't finish it on my very first day, though I find that doubtful. Pretty sure I will do an "all nigther". Haven't been this excited since TW2 came out.

I will definitely pick this up but only after I finish playing through my backlog...so in about 23 games :)

This is a game that defies any backlog. Played about 2 hours and loving it.

One day, like me, you will realize that your backlog is too big to get through it all. I just said screw it and started buying new games. I try to tackle the older ones from time to time but I stopped telling myself that I will eventually play everything I own:P

As with TW past instalments, my worries lie with the fact I already watched too much and actually read about the ending. I shall thus wait for a major price drop.
What I'm most impressed is this:

Did some more exploration and my jaw kept staying on the table, the art style is perfect and the setting of a city in the sky is definitely my thing. Something annoying though:

Oh and i gave up cleaning my backlog long ago, could not bring myself to finish even newer games like DmC, SC2 before BI hit.

Naaah, I will make it! I have my own method - I'm just blazing through the games from backlog, playing them on easy just for the story :)

I can't be doing that. I hate rushing through games just to complete them:( I need to take my own, sweet time and enjoy every bit. If I don't enjoy something, I stop playing it:P

Yeah, but I thought...if I am supposed to not play these games at all, ever, at least I can play them on easy mode and experience them this way.

New bioshock eh? Played a little bit of bioshock 2 by my friends house, i don't know, couldn't get into it. Can't point out what's wrong with the game but it just felt wrong to me for some reason. Do i need to play previous bioshocks before this new one?

Now I regret not pre-ordering from GreenManGaming along with XCOM and Spec Ops.
