Seriously? This is still not fixed?

So much for support from CDPR. How hard is it to correct a bug they introduced?

Is this a texture pop up?

Yeah. The correct texture only loads a few feet in front of Geralt. It was introduced with EE.

I've wondered if one of the ways to prevent the erratic skipping of frames present in vanilla, they just increased pop in of textures. It's pretty bad in TW2. Funny thing is, the same exact thing exists in TW1 - the grass and foliage 'grows' up around you as you run. It could be my modest PC as well.

Its not just your modest pc. I have a good computer and it does that and there are problems even with the grass mod for TW2. Since EE i do not play the game often because its so annoying.

BTW slimgrin have you ever seen anything like what I have in my topic? The sky and light go haywire and blocks the view of the player.

You mistake me. A grass texture is still drawn its just the wrong one. You can see the texture replace the incorrect one as you walk. It would have zero impact on frame rate. Its a simple screw up from CDPR that they have failed to fix for a year now. It did exist pre EE at all.

This problem can probably be solved with Redkit. I'm sure one of the modders will do something about that when it comes out in the first half of 2013. :)

Actually EVERYONE has the issue. Its only in Chapter 2 in the mountain areas.

I wouldn't say everyone has the problem. I have only noticed the texture pop-ups in twice. The tavern floor in Flotsam, and the southern bog outside of Flotsam when I am running. The areas outside of Vergen and/or Henselt's camp render without any pop-ups.

All settings to High/Enabled except for
Bloom
Blur Effects
Motion Blur
all of which are off because I dislike them
and Übersampling.

Are you talking about the grass color that goes from green to a sort of yellow that is just around Geralt ? There are 2 fixes for this that I know of . The Vergen grass fix and another for grass color fix . If this is not what you`re referring to then ignore .

Actually everyone does have this issue.
It is a specific fault (not a bug) introduced by CDPR. It isnt the PC causing the issue, or faulty code. Its an incorrect texture being loaded by default. Its incorrect code, not faulty code. Everyone that has the EE version has this faulty code. So yes, everyone has this issue. Lower spec PC's wont notice it due to everything else being set low and grass rendering being limited. If your setting has the grass being rendered then you'll see the fault. Its only certain areas, and only in chapter 2. Its minor but extremely distracting, and immersion breaking.

That is exactly what I am talking about, but since when is it acceptable for ANY developer to let a fault go unchecked because some modders kinda/almost, but not really fixed some of the noticable affects of the fault. It isnt fixed, and is still there.

Its still laziness and imo crap that CDPR should have fixed a year ago. Not acceptable.

Don`t shoot the messenger :P
In truth I don`t know why it`s still there . For myself it doesn`t bother me probably because it`s been there so long that I don`t pay attention to it .
