I installed the texturen mod and 1.1 patch update. Even without the patch update, the result is a nasty looking red and blue conglomeration in the opening of the prologue where the camera pans across the river. Trees look like nasty multicolored billboards and some of the other textures also look like some strange red and blue palisades. I haven't capped a screenshot just yet, but I may get fraps just for that purpose. The display looks horrible. It disappears when I uninstall the mod. The files go directly to my "Data/override" folder. I've tried many different things from running the game in compatibility mode to renaming the Override folder to "z_Override"
I am running the following system:
Intel® Core™ i7-3820 (4x3.6GHz)
16GB (4x4GB) G. Skill Ripjaw PC-1600 RAM
EVGA NVidia GeForce 660Ti 2GB
Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) SP1
Any solutions or suggestions? I can play the game just fine without the texture packs, but the mechanics of it has me curious, as I can't see any reason for it not to work.

TW1 with Texturen Mod

1.1 patch ? The only way you would need that patch was if you had the original red box game from 2007 . From where did you get the game ? The way I got the texturen mod to work was create a folder inside the override folder and name it texturen . Doesn`t really matter what you name it as long as you know what it is . Then extract the texturen mod to that folder . I did not use the installer for the texturen mod .

I'm using the 1.1 patch for the Texturen mod (Original Download link: here. Patch Download link here). Not the game. I bought the Enhanced edition years ago, but I just got the GOG version because I love the game and I have OCD, and it was missing from my GoG library (not to mention the 80% off deal I got). So to answer your question, I'm using version 2.0 of The Witcher EE/DC.

Now the 1.1 makes sense . If you use an extractor program like 7z or Uniextract and use that program to extract the contents to a subfolder . After extraction you should be able to see a LOT of dds type files . Just copy and paste these dds files into the Data/Override folder and you should be good to go .

I'm just doing it another way. Installing the mod to a different folder and copying it directly. I'll see if this affects anything. May redownload, however in this case corrupted files may not be the problem. I'll update if this works or not, and thank you for the help.
EDIT: Ok. Put the files in a folder in the override folder (despite some mod install directions that said this was a bad idea), and suddenly, it works. Don't know why it doesn't work directly in the Override folder but thanks for your help, Tommy.
