TW3 and DLC's

I for one hope so, Fallout 3 and its DLC were fantastic, if DLC's for Fallout 3 were still being made today, I would still be playing the game!

If they do make DLCs I'd hope it's the same as in the EE of TW2 with the two new quests which resolved story threads that were left open due to development constraints.

The point being, it would be a huge waste of a world not to continuing with some adventuring in that world!
Also, keep in mind that in this day and age, with youtube, you can see other outcomes achieved by other players, so its not like I have to play it again myself to see the other outcomes! In addition, there will be other games released by game companys that might interest me more then just replaying TW3 using different build or story selections. But a DLC would be like a new game, all the mystery, character and story would be new!

Good for you. I, IMO, when I meet somebody I used not see him/her again because once I know them they bore me a lot.... there's nothing new to discover.... and, you know, CDPR's games are just like all the others games: just created and made for been replayed without repeating.. but that's sounds very bored... really...
How can be people who like to read the same book over and over
yes, I know, I've writen wit some sarcasm.... I cannot do anything to stop me

That's like asking why there are people who enjoy helping themselves to a portion of crema catalana one after the other, week after week after week. Really, it's a pointless question, especially in this case, because unlike books or crema catalane servings, TW3 boasts different middles and endings, so one won't really be playing the exact same game.
And yet still we come back to our Grandma's unchanging crema catalana, because it's so darn good.
PS-OT: hey Wichat, I never understood why it's called Crema Catalana since every single latin country seems to have its own version of a broiled custard.
My plan is to tease you to death.

Books on the other hand, yes, people read books they love many times, I don't do that, that's just me, people play the same game many times as different builds, I don't, that's just me.
Bottom line, it's good that there can be 36 different outcomes in TW3 but I would rather have a new DLC or as someone else stated, an expansion, either way is good.
I do believe that in one of the interviews, the CDP had stated that they like the electronic delivery style, so for a DLC or even an expansion, that would work very well!

And, I as say, modders will give us a great selection of unofficial DLC's by the REDkit. I'll enjoy them surely!!

In places deep where dark things sleep, in hollow halls beneath the fells.
For ancient king and elvish lord, there many a gleaming golden hoard,
They shaped and wrought and light they caught, to hide in gems on hilt of sword."

Oh and, if RED decides to charge for DLCs this time around, I'd be more than happy to pay. However! On the condition that they're not overpriced like many DLCs today are, and that they're quality stuff. If this is the case, then yeah, I'll buy DLC no probz. If it ends up being free that's fine too, obviously ^^

1. a lot of care and time will be spent of creating this open world
2. there will be down time for developers in between A+ game development
So, why not use the open world already created to keep the developers buys in between A+ games development by creating a DLC (or two) or expansion. All the hard work of creating the world is done, no need to waste it. Also, no layoffs!
Less time would be used in DLC development (perhaps more for an expansion) and yes, charge for it and deliver it electronically to save on costs.
I realize that all things come to an end and so will the world of Geralt, but there is no need to waste a good world while its still "hot"!

Why do you (all) insist that they should charge for DLCs? CDPR has made a very bold statement to the whole industry by not making players pay for them. Changing that would mean that they've taken a step further away from customer respect and towards plain old money-making. This is one of the many reason why I love these people, a big one. So whatever they'll choose to do, charging for it would disappoint me quite a bit, but I trust them enough not to worry too much.

It would be more exciting to start a new story with new characters.

The world of Geralt will not end but Geralt's adventures. It's not the same...

Do we need to pay for it? - I will.
Can you ever do more content than your modding community? - no way.
So I think it will be necessary for CDPR to release Red kit ASAP. And Release some dlc after some time to keep the audience attention to the game.
Keep game alive and community will do the rest.

I respect CDPR for their customer service (thinking of their fans) but if they spend time and money to development DLC's or Expansion, they have a right to recoup their development costs and even make a profit!
Look at all the developers that have been laid off here in the US, I would be glad to pay for content, as long as it's not just plain crap! You cant stay in business if you are losing money!

We are all perfectionists in some way, but what kind of dlc we talking about?
Is it adds some quests or land or weapons/armours? Or, if we talk about some huge expansion, then I do agree with you.
