Hello,
I think I may have encountered this before. And there may have been a solution. But alas, I am at a loss.
Anyway, I have some of the DLC armor and what-not. Herbalists gloves, and some weird armor (not blue stripes).
I also have the standard silver sword, and steel sword.
After doing hung over, beating Ves, and winning arm wrestling and winning some sword. We wake up on a beach after some heavy drinking. Skip all the talking, Ves says she stored my items in the chest, while most of it is there, my armor and swords (even the one I won) is not. All I get is some well-balanced throwing daggers and a rusty dagger.
I can't really do much with that.
I've tried storing my items in the inn, but even so, my armor and items disappear, even without doing the hung-over quest.
Any solutions for this? I can put off doing the quest, but I really do like it.
ssssssssssssssss

Armor + Items gone after Hung Over (none in chest)

Are you sure you are at the right chest?
And did you go through all the steps (talk to the peasant, talk to the madam, then talk to Ves)? "Skip all the talking" sounds like maybe you did not. Shortcutting quests does not work.
Here's another possibility: did you visit Loredo? When you do, your weapons are confiscated, and you have to look in the chest outside Loredo's gate to get them back.
Doing "Indecent Proposal" or "Fight Club" (the quests you have to give up your weapons for) and not retrieving your weapons before doing "Hung Over" would cause exactly this situation.

Hi,
By skip all the talking I meant for me not to type it all out.
I talked to the peasant - intimidated him to tell me.
Then the madame - bribed her.
Then to Ves who tells me it's in the chest by the window. I see some basic items.
My armor consists of:
Astrogarus' armor
Mage's trousers
Herbalists Gloves
Worn Leather Boots.
- None of these are in the chest.
Weapons:
Robust Witchers Silver Sword
Robust Cutlass
Again, none of those are in the chest.
I did visit Loredo, twice in fact. And I got my weapons back on both of the occasions.
It's really weird, because I notice that a lot of the items are missing, I only get about 3 or so items.
It's also strange that when I deposit them for storage, I also seem to lose the armor and weapons when doing the quest (ignore the first post section "even without doing the quest").
So yeh.. I'm really lost here.
It's the EE, with all patches if that helps.

One last chance for this to be a normal occurrence: Are the missing weapons in your inventory, just not equipped?
(When you retrieve your weapons from the chest at Loredo's gate or the chest in the Blue Stripes headquarters, they go to inventory, and you have to re-equip them.)

Also make sure you scroll up and down the inventory list, it's easy for items to hide at the top of the list.

Yeh, nothing in the inventory, just did the quest again.
Scrolled through, also checked via icons.
What is weird though, is a load of other stuff is gone as well (though it matters not as much as my armor and weapons).
If I had the item codes or something of the sort for my armors and weapons, I'd cut my losses and just add the items via a cheat, and farm back alchemy stuff and what-not.
But it's really weird. I'm not the only one as I saw a post having the somewhat-same problem as me over at another forum.
It's truly strange. This is my second play-through. I didn't get it the first time (pre-EE).
Thanks.

I found a solution.
What I did is just complete all quests that I can, everything, literally, all the way up until killing the Kayran. The only thing related to the Kayran I did was getting a special potion.
That means I also did dice, fistfighting etc.
When going to do the Hung Over bit, I did everything relating to it. After bribing, intimidating and what-not. Instead of Ves telling me it's in the iron looking container, she said it's in the chest.
The chest initally says key required (prior to doing anything relating to drinking with Roche's soldiers).
In the chest, I found all my items, plus the things I won.
I'm unsure of why it works now, but I'm guessing it has something to do with the iron box thingy near the window.

Sorry for double posting but I seem to lose my silver sword.
Minor inconvenience as you can just buy the robust one from any of the merchants.
Or build it.
You should have enough gold. If not just hack the game to add the gold. Not exactly hard, or cheating, since you had it in the first place.

You lose your silver sword in the prologue - you stab the dragon in the mouth and it flies away with it, remember? If you have an imported save with a unique silver sword from TW1, than you should still have that, but the regular silver sword you normally start the game with is gone.
