Starcraft 2
I love the single-player campaign and have pre-ordered Heart of the Swarm, but I don't play multiplayer.

I mostly played the campaign, enjoyed it a lot and eagerly await HotS for the story to continue.
I played multiplayer for a little while, but in the lower leagues it's too much about building the same BO over and over again and hoping for a good outcome. I couldn't be bothered to get deep enough into the game to truly understand all mechanics and adapt my strategy to what my opponent is doing (beyond obvious stuff like direct countermeasures). Besides, at least, in the early stages there were quite a few cheese tactics that were very hard to counter. Thus it became quite boring, and I don't really feel the need to try again - there's other stuff to do with my precious time.

Yeah I used to play a bit. Crazy experience. I suck at RTS games. I really do. I started playing multi, ended up in Bronze (naturally). Over the course of the month, I practised and I was eventually promoted to Gold! Me! GOLD! Fuckin' nuts man. I've never been good at RTS' and it was even my first StarCraft game.
I stopped playing because of the terran faction. Just an op, annoying piece of shit faction. The fact that some average asshole terran player could compete with Idra is just insane. Which actually happened, find the match if you can. So yeah, after battling a couple of terran (who all use cheese tactics that they stole from other better players and implement them against poor players) I just said fuck this. It just wasn't fun anymore. Even when I managed to do some real damage against a terran, he just spammed SCVs and bam... Everything I had done was undone.
So yeah, for the most part, awesome game. Community wasn't that bad either though there weren't any shortage of cheesers. It's just the op terran that drove me mad. Feel free to check out what faction is most played at tournaments. I'm not into SC2 anymore so I'm not up to date on current events, but when I was playing, about 50% of all players played Terran in competitive matches. 50... per... cent...

Tearing my hair out, trying to figure out why there aren't any non-human Witchers, or at least something equivalent to a Witcher oriented warrior.

In 2012, zerg was the race that dominated everything with no-name zergs taking down top tier protosses and especially terrans won almost nothing exept for some titles for TaeJa and Mvp. Not sure when you quit but overall terran has been nerfed a LOT and almost a year ago Zerg overlords and queens got patched which basicly made them untouchable in the early game and well their late game was almost unbeatable to begin with. And all protoss does these days is all-in every game vs zerg unless you wanna lose in the late game.
