The Mo-Cap added so much to the game for me, little gestures or stances that emphasised how human the characters were. Great to see it returning for the next game.
I have waited many years for the Incline to begin. False prophets I have followed and obscure lore perused, but always there has been nought but the bitter taste of disappointment at the end of my travails. Still I do not give up, I do not falter with weariness. Even if it should never come to pass I will still believe and search, for the Incline is beautiful and it SHOULD exist.

Is it just me or does the mocap studio look really simple. I always thought mocap studios were really expensive with a dozen big cameras all over the place but this one seems like it only has a few and they look like webcams.
also the dude reminds me of val hallen from dexters lab. He looks like he's really into metal.

I'm that guy who won that t-shirt.

I think thats because their mocap studio really is that simple, compared to others, its very small for example.
They did said its their NEW mocap studio and that the main actors and cutscenes are recorded elsewhere.

You can do mocap with 2 cameras at your home. Better equipment means less post processing.

again, very impressive. I have the hub on my top bookmark and see it everyday/night for something new. My b'day is at the end of the month and my only wish is for a trailer of sorts! is that too much to ask?

It's their internal studio, they use other one for the recording the main characters and scenes. From the GI article that comes with the video:
While the main actors and cutscenes are recorded elsewhere, lead animator Tomasz Zawada is taking advantage of the new space and equipment to ensure that The Witcher 3 has a much larger library of animations than previous entries. With the help of master swordsman Maciej Kwiatkowski (from the stunt group called Stunt Forces), the space is also used to practice and capture Geralt's movements and all of the other combat animations for the game.

They are being sensible, and maybe that's why their games don't cost all that much to produce. Here is a simple room, painted white, a camera, a desk, a chair, a PC, and a mat for the stuntman.
Other studios would go out and buy or build a high tech mocap studio. There's a few million already added to the development budget.

Great video. I can´t wait for The Witcher 3 to come out, but do not rush things on your end. Just enjoy making your game and release it when you have no more doubts about it. I hope to see more in next few months. Good luck (you don´t need it, you have skills) and keep up the good work.

Most likely they're using the same studio they used for TW2: Alvernia.

"While visiting the studio for this month's cover story, CD Projekt RED was eager to show off its new in-house motion capture studio."
