While visiting the studio for this month's cover story, CD Projekt RED was eager to show off its new in-house motion capture studio. While the main actors and cutscenes are recorded elsewhere, lead animator Tomasz Zawada is taking advantage of the new space and equipment to ensure that The Witcher 3 has a much larger library of animations than previous entries. With the help of master swordsman Maciej Kwiatkowski (from the stunt group called Stunt Forces), the space is also used to practice and capture Geralt's movements and all of the other combat animations for the game.
Watch the video below to learn how the team captures characters, monsters, and battles for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Is seeming to me or some motions remember me scenes of TW2?

Fabulous, you say? Well there's not much to talk about in that video, so I guess commenting on his hair is fair enough. While we're on the topic, what about those white-striped blue pants?
I left my heart to the Wild Hunt a-comin'. I live until the call. And I plan to be forgotten when I'm gone. Yes, I'll be leaving in the fall.

The interesting bit is how Zawada explains Geralt's stance at the end of an animation. He holds form instead of working his way back to his prior position. Very different than TW2.
It's cool they've had the same stuntman for all three games. He's one talented fella.
Looking awesome. That Swordmaster stunt guy is pretty amazing. It's nice to see who's behind the fantastic moves in the Witcher games. He's pretty badass. I really love their mentality regarding Geralts fighting style - the fact that it should resemble this alien like, unusual mutated style - reflecting Geralts character perfectly. I think it's an awesome detail and I really appreciate it.
