Low spec detection?

I recently started playing TW2 on my PC after getting a new SSD. After playing a bit, I noticed the graphics were not nearly as good as I remember... I went to the options menu, and it detects "low spec" every time. I have to manually set the settings to "high". I have a quad core 3.9 GHZ computer, GTX 580 and 8 gigs of ram. Why would it detect so low?

The autodetect feature is often stumped by newer cards. Just set it manually to Ultra, make sure Ubersampling and Cinematic DOF are turned off, and go for it. That setup should do Ultra without having to catch its breath.

Gotcha, thanks Guy. I'm averaging 60 FPS, except when outdoors and it ocassionaly dips to 40+.
