I'm playing chapter 1 and I found this recipe for an excellent silver sword called Eclipse.

Thing is, it seems kind of overpowered for this stage in the game?

It does between 33 and 34 damage.
it has a 15% chance for stun.
20% vigor regeneration.
And 12 bonus damage to signs.

So, I was wondering if this is a glitch and I should hold off making and until later in the game?

Since EE, there have been quite a lot of reports about random and overpowered weapons appearing early in the game, usually as crafting diagrams.

It's unlikely to be anything to do with a mod.

Yes, it's overpowered - whether you consider that a good thing or a bad thing is up to you
But if you can't easily identify the ingredients that it needs, I wouldn't spend a lot of time looking for them. A lot of the time, they require ingredients that aren't available until later in the game, sometimes they need ingredients that are NEVER available.

Wow that IS a very overpowered sword, very pretty too.

I just love the fact that there's a bunch of hidden stuff the team either forgot to implement properly or included just to mess with the player! It adds a little bit of extra flavour to each run!

And as i see this sword is pretty easy to make.

In chapter two you should have enough silver orb.

Looks very cool. No idea what's up with those random drops though. I once found an unique steel sword in Chapter 1 in the building closest to the water. Gave the double amount of damage when attacking from behind. This in combination with the Assassin Ability meant 1 hit in the back = kill (on Dark mode!). Worked well into Chapter 2. Pretty cool to find such rare swords, but it also unbalances the game a bit.

Edit: Weird thing was that it said double damage on the diagram, but didn't on the actual crafted sword. The double amount of damage still worked though.

Didntt want to start a new thread for this, but after hearing about these things laying around I was actually lucky enough to grab one in the Rose Garden Bath. Its a silver sword called Bride. However, there are no stats on the diagram which makes me think I found a dud. I am almost into chapter, so I'll post the info after I get the required Draugr claws needed to craft it.
