Connection failed

Hi. My laucher still says: Connection failed. I have the latest patch, but how can I fix this? Thank you for helping me :-)

Do you have an exception in your firewall that will allow the launcher exe to connect to the internet ? If so make sure that the file path of the launcher is correct .

Checked again, but without any difference... To be correct - I can lauch the game, but laucher cannot be connected. I can't download patches automatically and have problems with sharing scores in Arena...

That at least says that the launcher is not able to connect to the internet for one reason or another . You can try downloading and installing the .NET 4.0 full install from the link

Also the latest version of JAVA http://www.java.com/en/

Do you use a security suite software or just the windows firewall ?

I used everything, thanks for that, but unfortunately it's still not working :( And I have Firewall + Avast (I'm not a native english speaker, so I don't know if I understood your question properly...)

In your firewall if you use the one in Windows . You need to specify in the list of exclusion your path for witcher 2 launcher .

With Avast when you open the user interface and click settings then the exclusions tan . You can specify the entire witcher 2 folder by using the add feature and then browse to your witcher 2 installation .

Another possibility is if you`re using a version not designed for your region . For example an English based system with a Russian version of the game .

Thank you very much with your help! I really appreciate it! Now I have installed the last 3.3 patch and it starts to work again, so I hope it will last :) But great thanks for your time and that you tried hard!!! ;-) This support community is really great!
