First of all let me just apologize, I had already talked about this in a previous thread but i really want for someone from CDProject Red to read this. if only because I'm one of her biggest fan's and i really want for you guys to do a great portrayal. :)

[(If that really is her anyway) there happy? :P ]

First of all, her character design. I really hope that you keep the hairstyle were she combed her hair to the side to try and hide her scar. That really spoke about her insecurities in the novels. Besides that i was a bit concern that she looked a bit too young in the reveal artwork. i was really hoping to see her as a experienced woman who has traveled through many worlds. what i mean is that in the novels we saw how she grew little by little so I would love to see how shes grown after 4 years or so.

Likewise i really hope you find a great voice over for her. Some one who while has a strong personality on the outside has moments of vulnerability. Besides that i think she should have a certain amount of sass, i guess. dunno how to explain.

Another thing is that i hope that her meeting with geralt be sort of a surprise, like they stumble upon each other like in the novel a Sword of Destiny. I know alot of people here are going to disagree with me and it may be a bad idea but, maybe you could randomize the encounter like in fallout 3. you could still keep the quest unchanged to not compromise the story but randomize when you get it.

Also would love to see Geralt And Ciri fighting together at some point, something like in the last novel. If you could do some kind of cooperative attacks in gameplay that be incredible. It doesn't have to be too complex. for example in witcher 2 Geralt could use aard to stun an opponent and then finish him off with one hit. So why instead you dont have a combination where geralt would use aard and a computer controlled ciri would teleport next to the opponent and finish him off.(something akin to half life 2 episode 1) incidentally if you could show ciri using her teleportation in combat i would be blown away. Like for example she could throw her sword like a projectile but when it hit an opponent she would quickly teleport next to the sword to retrieve it.

Finally id be funny if there was a conversation were ciri talks about what shes been up to for the pasts few years. Like she can talk about the worlds that shes been and maybe you could make references and satirize other games. Like say how she was in one world were there were dragon attacking the world and she was the dragonborn :P/> or maybe make fun of JRPG's saying that in one world she had met some very effeminate hero with pointy hair and how he carried a really big sword to compensate and was always whining and angsting about how the the evil overlord had destroyed his home village. things like the assassin from AC in the prologue or the references to Lord of the Rings.

From the image that was released of TW3, it might be possible that Geralt and Ciri will travel together, at least in some parts of the game. Don't know if they're going to make her fight together with Geralt or some cooperative attacks, unless there are determined scripted fights.

Are you kidding me? So what you're proposing is for CDPR to include not one, but two incredibly important characters from the books in one game? I mean, hell, they have enough problems as it is with bringing Yennefer to the game, which is no small feat, mind you. Ciri's appearance is not necessary, quite the opposite: it would actually take the spotlight from Yen, and that would result in neither Yennefer nor Ciri getting a proper introduction. As far as I'm concerned Ciri's somewhere far away with Galahad and I'm fine with that.

But that's what they've implied.

Have you even seen the reveal artwork? Notice that person next to geralt? see that ashen silvery hair strand of hair, the witcher sword that person has on the horse or the smaller stature of that other person?

Who do you think is that person is?

How about the latest interview? notice when they say that the story is about Geralt searching for his Loved ones. Not lover, loved ones as in plural. Who else do you think they are referring to?

I guess i was not. Still, could you please point out where exactly it has been said? That Ciri will be present in TW3? Because that blond person next to Geralt on the artwork could really be anybody. Ciri wasn't even blond, her hair was of ashen colour.

Like i said its been heavily implied. its not one hundred percent, only 99%

the plot is gonna focus on the wild hunt, the wild hunts main objective is he capture of Ciri. The setting like skellige isles is the old childhood home of ciri

Ashen is a vague term, that coloration applies to ciri as well, besides what other female character you know uses a witcher sword? or better yet what character with blonde hair is a witcher? deidre?

Anyway check the forums with the video about the witcher 3 story, dude.

It was in one of the Gameinformer.com news, remember when they announced Witcher 3 title? As soon as I'll find the link to it, I'll post it.

Maybe the player can choose wheter they focus on Yennefer or Ciri. So the spotlight could be shared for different playtroughts

The devs many time refer that this game is about the ones that are important to Geralt. Many times they do not say "loved ones" but "close ones" (or something similar) so that gives room to Ciri.

You're right. For instance, I strongly disagree with that. :D

Me and the rest of the community is 99% sure, the woman right next to Geralt is Ciri, everything else would be surprising.

Posted Image

There is only one person beside Geralt that has white or in this case ash blonde hair and that's Ciri.

Pretty much nothing is confirmed so far, but are you really arguing that is not Ciri?

Not saying she will be included in the game as coop partner or something like that, but you can't deny that's her for 99%.

Edit: She wears a hood to cover her scar, her outfit resembles the one a witcher would wear. Ash blonde hair, Geralt looking for his loved ones, plural as someone mentioned.

There are only two lost loved ones, Yennefer and Ciri.

Alright, maybe the word 'ashen' confuses some people, so let's call Ciri's hair grey. In "Lady of the Lake" it's said that she began to notice her hair turning white here and there, like she's getting old, you know, after all she's been through. So her hair colour is grey, like, well, ash. Not blond.

Plus, why would Ciri show up all of a sudden, without any explanation, backstory, no nothing.

And furthermore, at the end of TW1 we saw that mysterious witcher. Why didn't we automatically asume that was Lambert or Eskel? We didn't know any other witchers, so why not? The same thing is with this artwork. Yeah, we don't know who that might be, but why do you jump to a conclusion, that since we're running out of ideas here, that must be Ciri? Why couldn't it be another, new character?

Okay, grey/white, i'm just used to read ash blonde ;)

Well, the better question would be why so late? 2 full games without Yennefer and Ciri at all, although they were his closest family.

The explanation is easy, Yennefer is missing and well, it's her stepmother, she has the same reason as Geralt.

Why now? Well, i also wonder about that.

Backstory? Wild Hunt, she was always an objective for them, not wondering that she is now part of the story, if the story is about the Wild Hunt.

Maybe her power to go through dimension, space and time was too powerful to implement it in such a game without turning everything upside down.

"Oh my, that has to be Ciri!" was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw that pic, but I won't go around claiming there's no other possibility.
