Box version of the Enhanced edition and patching.

I've just installed the Witcher 2 (the boxed version of the enhanced edition), but lost the activation key. Well, no problem here, since there's no need to activate the game anymore.
But, even though i used the enhanced edition DvD, there's no way for me to launch the game -or to skip the 11Gb downloading of the enhanced edition. I can't even apply the 3.1 patch (or, for that matter the 1.5).
It's frustrating as hell, and i don't know what to do. Do i really have to download the 11gb patch even though i already have a boxed version of the enhanced edition ?
Thanks for the help.

the version of the exe is indeed 184.108.40.206, but if i try to launch the game using it, all i get is an error (point d'entrée introuvable).
all i can do is use the launcher -and be forced to dl the 11gb patch.
