Hi, and sorry to bother you guys.

I've just installed the Witcher 2 (the boxed version of the enhanced edition), but lost the activation key. Well, no problem here, since there's no need to activate the game anymore.

But, even though i used the enhanced edition DvD, there's no way for me to launch the game -or to skip the 11Gb downloading of the enhanced edition. I can't even apply the 3.1 patch (or, for that matter the 1.5).
It's frustrating as hell, and i don't know what to do. Do i really have to download the 11gb patch even though i already have a boxed version of the enhanced edition ?

If you navigate to your installation directory and open the witcher 2/bin folder . Locate the witcher 2 exe and hover your mouse over it . In the dialog box that appears there will be a version number . If it reads 3.xxxx.xxxxx then it is the EE version . Anything less than that then you will need to download the EE .

It indeed is the Enhanced edition, but i can't seem to launch the game using this exe.
I'll try to reinstall it.

Do you have the 3.1 and 3.2 patches downloaded ? If not you can find them at the links and try manually patching .

Well, I installed the game again. I was able to apply the 3.1 patch (even though when launching the game i'm still forced to go through the heavy patching again). Now, i'm trying to apply the 3.2.

Let's see if there's something new.

well, there's nothing i can do !

the version of the exe is indeed 3.2.1.0, but if i try to launch the game using it, all i get is an error (point d'entrée introuvable).

all i can do is use the launcher -and be forced to dl the 11gb patch.

Ok, i found my lost activation key (thank god). But there's nothing i can do. The game can't find a dll...

Can you help me, please ?

cd-key found . No problem . Follow the link to claim a GOG backup copy . With EE already patched in .

Kinda frustating to download the whole game, but i guess there's no other choice.
