after reading the features in gameinformer site ... it does sound a bit like the gothic or risen series ... a huge world with decent amount of unique quests ( especially gothic 3 in which u had to free some towns and cities etc ) ...

About 99% of the time when a new game or sequel to an existing game is announced it`s only natural to compare it to it`s predecessor or if dramatic changes are announced then it gets compared to what another game of the same genre might seem to be . For myself I think i`ll wait and see until we have some more solid information like a trailer or gameplay footage before making up my mind .

Gothic games* or risen are not nearly as huge as skyrim. I was hoping for world size like gothic with thick and quality content, instead we probably get less saturated huge world with little bit lower quality than previous witcher games. The task is really huge and im wandering if cdpr is even able to deliver, not that i don't trust them. If they actually deliver my mind would be blown.


*Gothic games, i mean gothic 1 and 2. Im not considering gothic 3 and arcania, gothic games. Risen is more of a gothic game than gothic 3.

I would say that I was hoping for the same thing and I was a little bit scared when I heard "world bigger than Skyrim". But then I did read how they are talking about that world, what are their plans etc. I also saw screenshots and I must say that I feel that they will deliver huge detailed world.

Even RPS said something like that too even tho RPS hates CDPR whole hearty. Of course they said also a shitload of negative epithets in the same article, but they still said that CDPR may keep their promises .

Witcher 3 may end up being like Gothic. Personally, I just hope that The Witcher 3 remains to be the Witcher 3. If the series stays the same when it comes to depth of content, variety of interesting well written characters, love for lore, presenting mature issues in an intelligent and thought provoking way and of course tone to the previous games, then sign me up. Red's got my money.
