The Witcher - Timeline

05.02.2013 @ 22:23 #1

Hello Com.,

Just wanted to ask if someone knows the exact chronological order of all the Witcher Games and books?
Finished finally with Witcher 2 and wanted to read the books

The first game takes place 5 years after the end of the last book.

Read the books in this order:

The Last Wish
Sword of Destiny
Blood of Elves
Times of Contempt
Baptism of Fire
Tower of Swallows
Lady of the Lake

Only The Last Wish and Blood of Elves are available in published editions in English, but there are fan translations of the other books.

I've made three new adventures for TW1; you can get them at corylea.com/.

I've also made a bunch of mods that fix bugs, kill annoyances or tweak gameplay; you can get those at the Witcher Nexus.

1. Blood of Elves
2. Times of Contempt
3. Baptism of Fire
4. The Tower of the Swallow
5. The Lady of the Lake

The problem is... Last 3 are not avaiable in English. At least I think so...

The games take place after last book.

Er, you forgot the first two: The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny. The short story collections are important, too. ;)

As I said, there are fan translations. And surprisingly enough, the fan translations are quite good!

The English translation is very, very poor. The first book, "The Last Wish" (short story collection) is relatively OK, but the first novel, "Blood of Elves", is quite bad. It's almost painful to read.

If you can't find the books in any other language you understand, I'd suggest reading the fan translations.
Facio, Voco, Ferre.

PC does not equal Windows. Personal computers run many different operating systems, like GNU/Linux and, why not, Windows. PC games should be available for all major platforms. Let's not be handcuffed and tied to one vendor. Utilize standard, cross-platform technologies!

Yes, they have. If you go to the Fan Translations thread, you'll see them there.

Damn, I really should start reading those books! School has kept me busy as hell though. Soon, soon I'll know everything I need to know!
Tearing my hair out, trying to figure out why there aren't any non-human Witchers, or at least something equivalent to a Witcher oriented warrior.

Share your Skyrim characters here! Feel free to post pictures, tell a story, or whatever! It's all about dem adventures boios!
