After downloading the 10gb patch something started installing
and 3 .usm files were corrupted
triss, 308something I would remember if I see the name and vernon or something like that
is there somewhere I can download these 3 specific files?

Started playing, there are some [[Gi_Tutorial]] stuff that looks like something that shouldn't be there
how to fix that?

The easiest way would be to verify the MD5 numbers as described in this link .
http://en.thewitcher...-md5-checksums/

If you have your cd-key then you can also claim a backup copy from GOG with the EE already patched in . http://www.gog.com/witcher2/backup

I didn't get this MD5 right
I found this topic before creating the topic
but it says:

"3. If you select "Verify MD5 Hash" then you will be able to copy and paste a given file's MD5 checksum. If the checksums match, you will see: "Digest matches. Verification succeeded."

according to this, I need to select the file
the problem is I don't have the files

about the backup in GOG; that means I would need to download all the 10gb again, wouldn't it?

actually you would download the entire game.

You have the patch files somewhere on your computer. Try C:\Downloads and see if they are there.

oh yeah, there are a lot of patch files there
from 1 to 35 and voices from 1 to 4
what should I do?
use the program you suggested in every file?

Yes. Make sure you use the right number for the file you`re going to verify . And yes 1-35. The language pack files do not have a number but I can generate a MD5 number for them if you wish.

how to proceed?

like I said in the beginning 3 files are missing (triss, 308something and vernon usm files))
but only 2 files don't match the digest: 16 and 17

Then you need to get correct files 16 and 17. You can get the individual files here: http://www.thewitcher.com/ee_manual/

The files are parts of an archive; they contain the files that are reported missing, but they do not match those files directly.

Replace the bad files (if you put the bad files in C:\Downloads, then replace these files into C:\Downloads; if you put them somewhere else, put them in that place) and rerun the patch manually.

The executable patch file is TW2EE_Patch.exe, which should be in the same place.

The problem with the files is gone. All usm files are there and there was no error in the installation.
Thanks a lot *Tommy* and Guy N'wah

but the problem with the "[[GI_T]]" stuff still remains still
files from 1 to 35 match correctly to the digest
how can I fix this one?

To be honest i`ve never heard of the "[[GI_T]]" issue before. Can you post a screenshot of what it looks like?

yes, but I am finding trouble taking a screenshot
I print it, but there is nothing to paste in paint
should I enable this somehow? or do I need a different program?

If you`re using Vista or 7 then use the snip it tool that`s included. Click Start>all programs>Accessories then select snipping tool

Have you restarted your computer after applying the patches. If not try that.

Yes, I restarted the computer the 2 times I installed the patch
and I have been playing for 3 days and it is still there
but since I don't get tutorial hints anymore, I don't mind much the problem
but if I could fix I would
any ideas?

I`ll do as much as I can in the time that I have which is little at the moment. It will be sometime this weekend before I have the opportunity to research it further. If you can send me a PM on Saturday just in case I happen to forget.
