I think cdpr can deliver open world game, but i strongly suggest them to look at games like risen 1 and gothic 2 instead of skyrim. What's the difference? Skyrim is huge, the world is just too big and there is simply not enough content to cover such huge world, gothic 2 and risen1 has smaller worlds but more intense than skyrim, risen - 1 city, bandit camp and monastery, gothic 2- 1 city, farms, monastery, mining valley, in expansion pirate camp, water mage camp and bandit camp. Fractions in these games i mean camps and cities are really fleshed out with unique ncs, architecture and quests, it's easy to implement story there. In skyrim you have feel that everything is copy pasted, most small village looks the same, has very similar quests, are not fleshed out and it's hard to implement story there. I would like to see witcher 3 world that is as big or little bigger than witcher 2, i mean chapter1+2+3 combined. For example fleshed out city like vergen or vizima, outskirts, maybe something like Henselt's war camp, some dungenons that feel unique, forest or two.
TL;DR
I want fleshed out, polished world that isn't huge. Quality over quantity.
