I posted this on both the Steam forums & the Crytek forums and still haven't gotten a response. I guess I'm somewhat impatient but I want to know now, I really hope someone on the forum can just give me a straight, legitimate answer? Sorry if this isn't in the correct section, by the way, but I really want an answer.

I'm building a new, high-end PC and i'm really excited about getting to play certain games in max detail fluently, one of them being Crysis 2 (And TW2 ofc, but as far as I know that game doesn't have any problem with Windows 8, if it did i would have demanded a refund by now, and i don't even have my full rig built yet), however my new build is going to have Windows 8 Pro x64 (got a crazy good deal on it retail during christmas sales, and i had a gift card) However I've read about some problems people have had with Windows 8 and Crysis 2 in DX11, apparently there was some resolution bug where the game's resolution was set as "undefined." After some more searching around for answers, I heard that apparently this issue only existed in early (beta) versions of Windows 8, and people with the latest retail version of Windows 8 x64 aren't experiencing this problem. Since there is such little information on the subject from what I can see, I'm looking for anyone who can validate this for me? Does Crysis 2 Maximum Edition run on Windows 8 Pro x64 in DX11 with no problems?

it should run it just fine. Nobody is complaining it will not run it. In fact w8 is the best gaming OS to date.

Used Windows 8 for a moment, yes Crysis 2 and Witcher 2 work flawlessly on this OS.
