Complete with a custom Witcher-themed signature pic.
Oh, yes, we noticed.
Want to be IN a computer game? I'm making one, and I want a picture of you! See here for details.
I've made three new adventures for TW1; you can get them at corylea.com/.
I've also made a bunch of mods that fix bugs, kill annoyances or tweak gameplay; you can get those at the Witcher Nexus.

haha maybe CDPR are laughing at us and it's an entirely new game without Geralt. I can't imagine it being open world as well, Geralt can choose to go wherever he wants? That's like Geralt in chapter 3 saying "oh I forgot this rare item in Flotsam BRB lol" goodbye urgency.
I'm that guy who won that t-shirt.

The hype that I feel for TW3 has left very little space for me to be excited about cyberpunk.

what do you mean by 'still' hyped? I was always super hyped about it? looking at the CP77 teaser about 5th feb made me go nuts! Although my focus is now in that direction too, but it is still prevalent here.

Not really. A year and a half-ish of talking about Witcher stuff has left me all witchered out. The second they introduce a new character or place I'll probably start to get hyped a bit again, but I do think that Witcher 3 will end up being "that game that tides me over while waiting for 2077."
I wish that games didn't carry over major plot points from game to game, because it's too easy for people like me to get burned out and lose interest while waiting for the story to end. At a certain point, so much time has passed that my emotional investment in the characters wanes. I mean, I'm not really interested in Dreamfall: Chapters, either, and I played Dreamfall just five months ago. Here's hoping future games are more self-contained like the first Witcher was.

I'm not here anymore, but there are still three ways to find me. First, you can go into a room with all the lights off and say my number three times while looking into a mirror. A bit macabre, admittedly. The second way would be to post a craigslist ad for anonymous sex, but don't be writing checks you can't cash, sweet stuff. Ahem. The third and most tasteful method would be to just check out my site where I review stuff because I'm a hyper-judgmental human being.

I feel the same. At this point I wouldn't mind if it was scheduled for 2017. because I'm so burned out. We turned TW2 inside-out over the past year and a half. I know I won't love TW3 the same way I loved TW2. Not to mention I NEVER follow game press releases, trailers, interviews and making ofs; I don't participate in the pre-release 'hype'. This is new to me and will probably only prolong the burnout.
There is a certain degree of curiosity in there somewhere, though.

I am looking forward to it, really. Can't wait to learn more about it
The only thing is -- I hated Yennifer from the books, and I hope the developers won't MAKE me/Geralt choose her instead of Triss in TW3.

PS. And yes, I am hyped for TW3, but my relationship with Geralt is more of this mature, long-term bro-friendship. We don't need to call each other every goddamn hour to say how we love one another. We don't miss the butterflies in our bellies. We have trust, we know we're there and if the duty calls, we've got each other's back for life.
Hah, that's so cutely said! I kinda have the same feeling, only in a more girly way

After playing TW1 and TW2 for more than 10 times each I cannot say I am burned out by it.
Nor by the prospect of a new Witcher game. TW2 might not have turned out like some wanted (even me) but it was still one of the best games I played in my long gaming career. I can see what ppl don't like but me - I was just washed away by it. Even having that intricate knowledge of TW1 and seeing how many things got omitted and turned around in TW2, breaking the continuity of "my" character of TW1 I still loved it.
But I am not hyped - I know that even when they announce/show/tease anything it will still be a long time off.
I remember how I felt exactly the same about TW2 before the first real trailers showed up.
But then came the first pictures of Flotsam and its forest in the rain.........well, let's say I almost got tears in my eyes. This was were I got myself hyped. And in the last weeks before release came this:
https://www.youtube....h?v=7RJv5n393RM
And I remember watching that trailer so many times, everytime I could squeeze a few minutes in
during work I watched it
And showed it to everyone (god, they must have hated me)

I can't either, which is why I hope the term is used loosely here. Skyrim is about going it alone in the vast wilderness. Story takes a back seat. Waaaay back. ›››
Story takes back seat in Skyrim because Bethesda are terrible at implementing their stories in a game. They are amazing when it comes to building beautiful and detailed worlds, but their stories always fail to deliver. Note, not the writing itself, but the stories. They are never executed well enough. Skyrim's main plot was just a disaster, for instance.
CDPR are fantastic when it comes to building plot and delivering it in the game.

...and have zero experience in building vast, open-world as Bethesda does. So that kinda evens out. ›››
Worst thing can happen is huge number of bugs which is already a trademark for open world games, especially Elder Scrolls. I started them playing since Daggerfall it is only getting worse...
And also i don't really expect a land mass as big as Skyrim. Even 1/5 of it filled with CDPR quality details would be a blast for me though.
Nothing is true, everything is permiteed.

I really hope - like many of you - that by "open world" they mean a bigger, less confined environments. Maybe with ability to travel freely between different areas (but not necessarily). So this kind of "open-world-story-driven" game, instead of an "open-world-sandbox-game", where Geralt steals other people's horses, runs over people with them and does many other stupid things just because he can.
Pain is an illusion of the senses, despair an illusion of the mind.
