Moderators I did search and saw a few threads pertaining but nothing that was orderly and concise.
Please make a sticky that would make you the bestest mods ever!!!
to all who post please list all components any mods, over clocks etc.....

I can run the witcher2 on ultra with uber sampling averaging 45 fps
Turn off uber sampling and I get an average of 92fps with highs reaching 115fps.
This is the game that got me started on building high end* gaming rigs and I am now addicted to fiddling and upgrading.
*high end is subjective to one's income ;-)

The new members who haven't got a clue about wether their PC can run TW2 or not won't get anything out of reading such a thread...
Why not make a sticky informing people about how to interpret graphics card versions instead, seeing that this is almost always the reason for people complaining about "..but the backside of the box said that I could run this, why is it so choppy?!"-kind of things
That wouldn't require 10 pages of posts in order to be useful, only a single post
Also, why stuff your post with so much information about your PC? TW2 doesn't care about things like skateboard wheels or RAM-timing, that's pretty irrelevant to the subject of the thread - it should be kept simple seeing as the thread addresses people who haven't got this kind of knowledge; that would also have less of a "look at my PC"-thing going, which I would think would make it harder to get it stickied o.O

It was done at least once or twice, back when TW2 was relatively new. I even started one, explaining how Nvidia names their cards and why 320, for example, isn't better than 8800.
But you are right, a thread like this is only good for the OP's second goal (bragging
Facio, Voco, Ferre.

Avg fps = 60 max=70, min=45 fps. Settings on Ultra, w/ mods (specifically Better Texture Environment and FXAA Injector Settings MOD), uber sampling off.
Long time TES modder. When the tools are released, hopefully, a TW2 modder.

I have to agree with Vinterberg. Listing full specs of a bunch of PCs won't help new users, especially if they get lost in the analysis of all the posts and all the specs that are enumerated there.
What The Witcher 2 mostly cares about is the graphics card, resolution on which you are running the game and sufficient amount of RAM, and if I have a moment of free time I'll make a sticky about interpreting graphics cards' model names, which seems like a good idea.
And this thread seems more like a thread for enthusiasts wanting to compare their setup choices, overclocks and so on.

I will admit this thread might scare some of the not so hard core PC gamers which was not my intentions. What can I say i get excited by fancy/shiny things/ that have L.E..D. s and make whooshing noises.
However, I will not apologize for offering to help those same people. There is literally a new thread or 2 everyday that asks"Will my pc run this"
They have enough sense to ask so I figure they can interpret what most of us will list on these pages with the occasional help from some of us in the know.
BTW I did some testing today and for whatever reason. I installed a new sound card a Creative Sound Blaster Z (i had an xfi and sold it a few mths ago) I am not sure why but I got a pleasant surprise. My FPS went up. average and max. By a fair amount. I am getting highs in the open areas up to 145fps my average is now at 115fps lows are at around 90 with the rare dip into the mid 60's. In the enclosed areas I am getting 175fps. Uber off everything else at ultra spec 1080p
So anybody care ti explain how the sound card raised my fps? (maybe it is the skateboard wheels lol) <div><br></div><div><br></div><div> to those who have posted there specs I salute you.

Did you enter the panels (Inventory, Character, Journal etc.) a lot when playing? FPS rises in them with many graphics cards. The actual FPS in gameplay is the one you get when not opening the panels.
If you do open panels when running a benchmark with Fraps don't just check the minmaxavg.csv result but open the fps.csv and have a look at it. There will be e.g. results around 50-70 and then suddenly a sequence of 120-150 results. The latter have to be removed. Or otherwise a "rise" in average FPS compared to an earlier benchamrk might simply mean that one opened panels more often and for a longer time this time.
But if it's not that then I'm afraid I cannot explain this unusual occurrence.
