Hi all,
Got a quick question... I've just got the witcher games (both) and I'm obviously starting from the first one.
When I start a new game there are 2 posibilites, the main story and the "new adventures"... I undertand they are not related in the story-telling... but do I get any benefit of playing the "new adventures" before the main story? Like importing into the main story any XP, items or such?
Or viceversa if I play the main story first and then the mods...
Also, will anything be impacted at the moment I import my saved data to TW2?
Thanks!!!

Nope. The new adventures are optional, and if you play them, you should definitely play them AFTER you play the main game.
When you do finish the main game, there's a list of adventures here. There are some really good adventures that weren't finished in time to be included in the patch, so you might want to read the adventures' descriptions or read reviews of them when deciding which to play. Or, of course, you could play them all.

A few decisions and some equipment will carry over, but not as much of either as most people expect.
Want to be IN a computer game? I'm making one, and I want a picture of you! See here for details.
I've made three new adventures for TW1; you can get them at corylea.com/.
I've also made a bunch of mods that fix bugs, kill annoyances or tweak gameplay; you can get those at the Witcher Nexus.

Let us know how you get on with the the Witcher mcmwolf - it's still a terrific game. ›››
It's still a truly wonderful game. Some of us even like TW1 better than TW2.
I have some advice for new TW1 players here. (It was written for a friend of mine who's playing The Witcher as her very first RPG, so it's fairly basic.)
