Well I am at Vivaldi's Release, it tells me to go to Vivaldi's House and ask about the books. Except I asked him while he was in the jail. I have the books but it's not letting me progress with the story, saying i need to go to his house and get the books. So I go to his house to talk to him hoping that the quest will fix itself and allow me to progress but it doesn't and there is not option dialogue about the books. Any suggestions on how to fix it or do I have to start over?

I wouldn`t think you need to start over just go back to a save to before you talk to Vivaldi and asked him about the books.

Yeah after making this post that is what I did, luckily one of my autosaves was close because I don't save as regularly as i should.
