I do feel the need to redo or improve the combat
Improvements to the combat system. With more of a focus on counter attacks flanking your opponents. Well I feel there is a need for the roll it ends up being way over used and looks unnatural
when spammed. I want more ways to to side step my opponents I think they need to take a look at some of the counter attacks you have from the assassins creed games. Well I hate the way the
combat works in the assassins creed games (its way to easy and unrealistic how you only fight one at a time yet there are 10 guys around you) some of the attacks have a vary nice flow to them.
Something The Witcher 2 is vary lacking in some times when I have to roll 2 times and attack once it just plan looks bad.
the roll should only be used when a larger monster is trying to one hit you with some devastating attack that is telegraphed the rest should be footwork or swordsmanship like in the books id like to see a system that works on timing your footwork and swordsmanship.
I find the use of sings to be rather unresponsive and hard to use. why can't I have more then one at my disposal? Even if were aloud to have 2 sings equipped and they were a bit more responsive it will add a lot of flow to the combat. I feel much the same way about the throwing weapons, they are unresponsive. the bombs kinda make sense being the speed they are don’t think they need much work
The use of the quen sing was crap as well id rather they just remove it altogether. Its not fun using roll 2 times just to cast quen then roll, attack then roll, roll, attack, roll ops I got hit need to set up for quen aging roll 3 more times......
my last gripe with the combat is the QTE quick time events are the worst thing in combat they disorient
you do to the camera angle change. There’s no reason we cant have that stab the guy animation play-out in the normal third person view.
The other horrible thing about them is if a mage is casting a fire ball just as it starts. You suddenly have no way to avoid the dam thing even if you do have time, you have to hope your rolling the right direction when the QTE is over, or you run into fireballs or something worse.
The OTE on the kayran and dragon fights didn’t bother me at all just the ones I described
