Geralt needs another evasive move for Witcher 3.

A quick stepping move (either laterally or at an angle) would be much more realistic. Also, when one is surrounded by enemies, a leaping move reminiscent to the first Witcher game which would allow Geralt to jump over an enemy.

I don't want to see Witcher to become another Assassin Creed game. No challenge is required at all.
Surrounded by enemies they would have to come at you one by one, Combat has to be difficult and based on your reflex, And I'm expecting next Witcher game to be more difficult then part 2! btw I don't want to see Quen in TW3!

Sleeping Dogs isn't perfect, but a step in the right direction. It's more hands on than Arkham City, requiring timed combos. CDPR should check out that combat system too.

If anything i think cdpr should look at risen 1 or gothic combat. Risen 1 especially has great combat. Im still mad that they changed it for risen 2.

Sure, DS won't work for group combat.
But I don't see why Witcher 3 has to have group combat?

I get it, Geralt is a mutant who is a very very good swordsman, that does not make him capable of such feats. The only notable exception is Blaviken and even then it was what 6 foes?
That doesn't mean we can't have large scale battles mind you. In fact I'd love to see them, what I would despise is Geralt doing all the fighting on his own while allied NPCs are useless.

The only time I felt this way when we infiltrated the Nilfgaardian camp. It'd be near impossible for Geralt to kill all 30-50 fully armored well-trained soldiers with crossbowmen and a mage. He wasn't even visibly tired after the battle in a cutscene which wasn't very believable, Geralt should have been close to collapse after rescuing Triss.

Then there's Dethmold's camp as well.
I'd find it believable if one or both of them got seriously injured but they don't.

Even DS has rolling.. tweak it. Since TW3 will be focused on big war, counter-attack system (batman/SD) would fit great. No more Quen nor adrenaline "limit breaks" more difficult combat and bosses in general.

Except you know Dark Souls has all of those and yes you can finish the entire game without a shield by just using rolling and mobility in general. I mean look at this guy:
What I'd like to see from DS besides the backpedal is the weapon and armor weight system. As in Geralt could equip leather, or leather with mail or straight up mail but with heavier armor he would move slower and roll less then with leather one.
With swords Geralt could use different swords, some with more damage then his regular stuff but the heavier the weapon the slower it swings.
Actually since when is Geralt going to fight in a war anyway?
Don't bring up bloody Batman. Taking down 30 enemies with ease without getting hit is quite bad. The strength of Batman isn't it's combat system rather it's stealth system.

Hell no! Geralt is not knight and never will be, all his offense and defense is based on his agility, making him less agile and giving him heavy full plate armor is retarded. All armors that geralt can wear can't constrain his movements otherwise any fight with monsters would be lethal.

I agree with the notion of weight, but I would favour a system where its heavily stressed that Geralt needs to be packing light to be effective in combat.
(let us rid ourselves of the horrible inventory system where Geralt can carry stuff for an entire army around in his pockets).
A witcher using witcher fighting styles requires light and flexible armor.
Why would Geralt use heavy armour if he is not trained in using it. Some swords already affect speed in witcher 2 (Espandon).
