Is 2013 the worst year for gaming?

Looking at 2013 list of announced so far games. I'm worried we wont have anything to play after summer.
There are only few AAA games coming out before before April/May! And what then?
Pretty much all of them are coming on the consoles. "Last Of Us", "BioShock", "GTA5" and perhaps "Crysis 3" Most of the developers are in the middle of making thier games on next-gen consoles! Do we really need to wait until E3 to see what will be coming out next year to PC and PS4/x720!?
Will 2013 be the worst year for gaming?

Well 2012 was pretty lackluster for me, the only new titles I played were Dishonored and Guild Wars 2. DH was okay, nothing special, and I'm really into GW2, but I tend to not count it because it's a MMO that will last me for years.
Not interested in 2013 titles for now, except maybe Tomb Raider reboot, but that's more curiosity of an old fan talking. I don't like anything I've seen of/about it so far, and I most definitely wasn't impressed with Eidos' shitty forged drama marketing. All the others are either sequels to games I am yet to play or games with unconfirmed release dates (Watch Dogs, for example).
Though honestly, it just means more time to catch up with all those games I keep telling myself I'll play one day

Yes Tomb Raider looks nice, actually I am thinking about pre-ordering it on Steam. Neverthenless thats pretty much only game in 2013 that can be worth spending money on. Looks like next autumn and winter will be very cold for us.

Seems to me developers are waiting for next gen consoles. Not that I really mind it.

I'm looking forward to Bioshock:Infinite and GTA 5, that's for sure. And I won't mind a year without too many new big titles coming out so I can finally catch up with playing all the games I have in my backlog.

2012 is already a bad year for gaming, i don't think 2013 would be worse. Screw AAA stuff Shadowrun Returns, Wasteland 2, Grimdawn, Southpark and Dead State will be in our dirty hands in Q3-4 probably. Also 2013 is a decent year for RTS battles with CoH 2, C&C (i have a bad feeling about this one tbh, very bad)and Rome 2.
GTA V and Metro Last Light also won't fail us i hope. And hey ho, a new Carmagedddon!
2013 is far far away from being worse in my book, you just need to widen (is that a word?) your game range and try to look past over so called triple A stuff.

Yes some of the titles like GTA 5 look nice. But not everyone have current gen console nor have time to play them at home. Guess we have to wait again year or two before GTA come to PC.
Second part of the year looks really dry.

2013 is the best year for my gaming tastes.
I'll get Metal Gear Rising, DMC Devil May Cry, Bioshock, God of War (planing to get ps3), Tomb Raider and a lot of games haven't been anounced yet. It'll be expensive year for sure.
Compared to this year which was the worst for me I got only Dishonored, Mark of the Ninja and Hitman Absolution.

Meh, don't really care. I already have so many games from this year (Dark Souls, Far Cry 3, etc) and older games (Planescape, Baldurs Gate, annual DMC3 runs) on my backlog that I don't really need new games.

I think I might take a look at Aliens :colonials marines, CRysis 3 and metal gear if they are good.
Bioshock is probably the only game I'm sure I'm going to buy.

With the ridiculous amount of games both already available and releasing every year, I really can't see how anyone has enough time to play all games they want to. I know I have more than enough games in my backlog to last me a couple of years, and I'm already quite critical of which games I want to play. I think that in all of 2012 there have been maybe 3 major releases I actually want to play, none of which I have played yet. There are currently no 2013 releases I'm looking forward to, but I don't really mind that.
Also, by 'the worst year' do you mean the worst year for gaming since the Romans closed the Colloseum or is it just that superlatives are the only adjectives usable on the internet?

Metro: Last Light, Crysis 3 and Dead Island: Riptide for me, plus a bunch of indie games I don't know about yet LOL
Indie games are so much fun to discover, and often a treat to play! <3

Well if you aren't counting on Kickstarter projects maybe. For me 2013 will be the year to see if crowdfunding will remain a valid option for the future. If enough of the projects come out then no harm done but if so many of them start having problems then it may dissuade enough people from using this again. I've only given money to Wasteland 2 and Project Eternity (though I wanted to give money to Planetary Annihilation) so only Wasteland 2 will affect me for 2013 though I'm still hoping all the others pull through with little to no difficulty.
